I don't like alot of things in my celica. Currently what I hate the most is that it doesn't warm up very much which concerns me. The temp gauge barely moves in the morning and the other thing I despise is the dumb power antenna. I should be able to solve both of the problems sometime soon.

the damn f%$$ cup holders that annoy the hell out of me when you cant find a good angle to try and shift, miss my rwd 300zx but celi is soooo much better on gas i love the celi other than the cup holders, and that she burns oil, and how she revs really high on the interstate

Holy back from the dead batman!

I will say, as the car gets older there's more and more I don't like about it. Mostly the fact that the list of things needing fixed will total up to the value of the car within the next year as I roll over 200k. That includes struts starting to go bad, engine burning more and more oil, tires, brakes, engine mounts, sway bushings and links, clutch, rust, paint, blah blah. Will probably just do some basic maintenance and sell it to a high school kid or something.

But the biggest thing I can't stand: IT'S FWD! Next car will definitely be RWD or AWD again, possibly an older M3 or another WRX. Definitely have my Toyota roots but unless they put something performance oriented on the market soon they are going to lose me.

Thermostat. I was driving around all winter last year in 10* weather, and the temp needle wouldn't budge. Do you have any idea how bad it sucks when the same 10* outside is the same 10* inside your car, and you are the only form of heat that the car has?!?!?! I'd get that sucker replaced before winter. It's a $5 part and a ten minute job. Could be something else too, but it definitely sounds like your thermostat.

Yeah, I thought it would be the thermostat. I have been swamped with my classes right now but I also want to pressurize the radiator and make sure it holds. I felt so bad the other weekend I took this girl out to dinner and a movie. When we got back in the car it wouldn't heat up, I gave her my jacket but was freezing to death until we got to her house.

Maybe I'm the only one that thinks the oil fill on the 5SFE sucks, too much junk in the way, too far back, almost count on getting a spill when topping her up. 4AFE was much better.

Oh the cupholder's are a pain!

The drive gears on the cassette deck cracking.

The foam surrounds on the front woofers rotting out.

The power antenna mast breaking inside.

The rattle from the fuel filler door release cable.

But, the top down on a sunny or non-sunny day: Priceless!

The only problem i have with Celicas is there weight. I compared some Celica parts with some Civic parts and the Celica parts were far heavier... BUT.... the Celica feels more tough and the built quality feels better than the Civic tongue.gif

I can't complain about the car. It's the loooong winter wait with the car holed up in the garage that's killing me

Ha, it seems like i'm not the only one who gets pissed off with those damn cupholders! What were Toyota thinking?!
The heavy clutch and steering were a bit annoying when I first got it, so different to my 5GC I was used to driving, I've gotten used to it now and actually prefer it, feels more secure.

Yah the GT4 feels alot more planted on the road than FWD Celicas, it's due to the 4WD and extra 300kgs. You're right about the clutch and steering, it's feels alot more solid.
