So I sat in my poor little beat up 94 Celica today and broke the drivers seat. frown.gif And yes I mean BROKE (metal fatigue!) This car has been wrecked (not by me) and generally abused by its previous 50 owners, and I fully intend on fixing it up in the coming years, but for now, I just need a drivers side seat for a 94 ST. Preferably grey or black, but since I will probably be adding after-market seats within a few years I guess I really can't be choosy. Anyone have any thoughts as to where I can get a seat? I've tried the local junkyards and they don't even have Celica's, much less seats for the car. I've read that 94-96 seats are interchangable, but I have no verification of that.

Seats from '94-99 are interchangeable, so no worries there. There was a different fabric design from year to year, so it might be hard to find the exact seat, but you'll be able to come close enough. Check the Buying/Selling section of 6gc. There is usually a partout thread in there where you can score a seat. Best of luck to you thumbsup.gif

Darn, i found a set of '90 seats for cheap, but i can tell from looking at the pics they have a different bolt pattern than mine. I wonder if i can add a bracket or two and make them work???

Mine broke @ the drivers seat folding spring & latch! I was going to replace it last week blah blah... Tomorrow is "d" day.
Cloth pattern is a different color.
PO must have known because when we bought it,he gave us the xtra seats with the car!!
Wish I could help ya with seats. There are NO 6gc's around here in yards.
Try the "Buying//Selling" forum. Best luck to ya.

Just fill out this form and let the salavage yards reply to you. the shipping will probably be stiff considering the size & weight, but you'll get a seat!

All the 94-99 front seats are interchangable, but the seatbelt style changed....be sure to keep your old seatbelt 'receiver' end to swap onto the new seat if it's from a newer Celica (I can't remember if they changed in '96 or '98).

As Peter says... FREAKIN SWEET! Thanx for the info. I sent off a request and I will see what happens. I found a pair of '90 seats on ebay for cheap and i figure i can manufacture some brackets if I need to, but i have a few days before the auction closes. Once again, Thanx!
