so after installing my new engine on my 94 celica gt, i am now idling at around 2 grand cold start and between 1200-1500 at warm idle. Ive checked my timing, vaccume lines, and throttle positioning sensor. Nothing seems to change it. What else could this be?

You have alot to look at... Air / Fuel / Electrical

check the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) if ur geting too much fuel, ull run rich with a high idle.. you may have a fresh gasy smell from the exhaust.
check the EGR valve, if its stuck open you will be stucking in extra air, e.i higher idle. if the EGR is faulty it will emit a rather nasty smell lol.
go to a local shop and check for codes, injector cycle could be out...
o2 sensor(s) may be fried....
