what is the difference between the two? is there any extra hardware required for the sleeves?

A sleeve you will need to specify the spring rate and consequently you will need a shock that will be able to work with that spring rate.
otherwise your handling/ride will suck. buying a full coilover you are more likely (99% more) to have a better matched setup that will function better on your car. |

So is there a huge difference between Coilover sleeves, and lowering springs? Or are they basically the same thing?

with full coilovers you can change how harsh the ride is
with sleeves you cannot but you can use stock struts -------------------- "she can polish my strut bar anytime As long as her blow-off valve's in good order"

You should honestly just save until you can afford coilovers. Buying once what you actually want, is wiser than having to buy and do twice.
springs are like 10-20% of the price of coilovers. Don't forget you would also want to replace: ball joints and sway bar endlinks (at a minimum) when you replace your suspensio. |
