Ooohh, SS-III, you lucky bastard. How come it doesn't have the riser blocks though?

I kind of thought so. I'm gonna say SS-II.

Actually, it could also be an SS-I. The SS-I has a 3S-FE which is an economy engine, while the SS-II has a 3S-GE, which is more performance-oriented.

yep.

and with new wheels and springs, it will look a million dollars smile.gif

I'd recommend SPAX springs. Nice 40mm drop, and as long as the shocks are in decent shape, they should handle it fine smile.gif

This is the SS-II engine: (probably minus the induction kit)

That's the one you want smile.gif 178BHP

Pretty good smile.gif Nicely planted, better lowered, improved with a rear strut brace. If that is the engine you have, most of the power is at the top end, so you have to rev it to get the most out of it....

But most of all it's just a beautiful car to look at.

Yep, it would look bad in white. tongue.gif

Check the sticky at the top of the exterior styling section for paint codes....

Don't forget, pretty much every question you have will have been answered here, so quicker to use the search, than to wait for an answer wink.gif

Yes John, welcome to the site. Very friendly bunch of people around here.

Sign up to celicaireland as well, just had a rolling road day in Armagh there last week. Plenty of Leinster members too.

Good luck

Hey welcome, yeah, we cant tell much from that pic about the model it could be either SS-I or SS-II. I didn't know when I bought my 1st Celica and always wondered why the 1st Celica I bought wasnt the fastest out of all the Celicas I test drove (it didnt matter to me at the time) until I realised theres more to the Toyota Celica than it just being a 2.0L engined sports car.
