Actually, it could also be an SS-I. The SS-I has a 3S-FE which is an economy engine, while the SS-II has a 3S-GE, which is more performance-oriented.

yep.
and with new wheels and springs, it will look a million dollars I'd recommend SPAX springs. Nice 40mm drop, and as long as the shocks are in decent shape, they should handle it fine This is the SS-II engine: (probably minus the induction kit) That's the one you want 178BHP -------------------- |

ill find out on sunday i hope.!!! all will be cleared up then!!! what are they like to drive?? Pretty good Nicely planted, better lowered, improved with a rear strut brace. If that is the engine you have, most of the power is at the top end, so you have to rev it to get the most out of it.... But most of all it's just a beautiful car to look at. -------------------- |

Check the sticky at the top of the exterior styling section for paint codes.... Don't forget, pretty much every question you have will have been answered here, so quicker to use the search, than to wait for an answer -------------------- |

Hey welcome, yeah, we cant tell much from that pic about the model it could be either SS-I or SS-II. I didn't know when I bought my 1st Celica and always wondered why the 1st Celica I bought wasnt the fastest out of all the Celicas I test drove (it didnt matter to me at the time) until I realised theres more to the Toyota Celica than it just being a 2.0L engined sports car.
