Super strut suspension.

ST202L BLMGFW

hmm I find this very interesting

so confirming thats the correct chassis code in your celica its a EDM (European Domestic Market) - since no JDM celicas came out LHD (they had E-ST202-BL### without the L or R following ST202)

now the fact you have superstrut interests me, from my understanding on celica club uk, their are a few people with superstrut (Though I cant confirm there domestic market)

If you could check the VIN plate on the firewall again

and see where it says trans/axle I'm interested to find out what yours says.

Im pretty sure i can see a "arm" if i turn the wheel all i can. I'll try and turn it to the other side today and look if there is a arm there too, If such, It has to be a super strut

Why not make it easy on yourself and take a front wheel off to take a picture for us?

i take it your chassis plate looks more like this one?

i would take a wheel off due to the fact that everyone thought that superstrut suspension was not sold out side of Japan (not to say it couldn't have been swapped by a previous owner) but if your model number is correct that would make your car a European GT and not an SS-II

I think it was optionable. But i agree, I'll have to wait and see next time i can get a wheel off.

Yes its a European model.

according to this site http://www.cars-directory.net/specs/toyota...a/1993_10/5767/

E-ST202-BLMVF(S) (thats for the ss2 superstrut)

but from the chassis code above you gave us ST202-BLMGFW, it doesn't say. (also note that it doesnt say on the ss3 either)

Thats a 5th generation, Besides we havent yet found out what the W stands for wink.gif.

But if its not a super strut, I wonder why the spare parts i had to buy costed almost 3 times more than to the 1.8 GT model... And the toyota store even drove it inside and looked behind the wheel to confirm it was the expensive one. I never bought the spare parts since it was so expensive, I think the spare parts i needed costed around 600$ and only around 160$ for the normal. We are talking about something like this
