Hell yeah! it was a very productive saturday.
These are preassembled 12V LED's from oznium.com (essentially just standard 5mm LED's with the resistor already soldered on and heatshrunk) White of course ![]() Right then....on with the show, I literally had 8 different projects on the go today involving multiple vehicles, my air compressor, light fixtures....and a weed whacker (couldn't get the bloody engine to run properly though so I set it aside for another day) First some careful pondering and planning: ![]() Then a couple precision drilled holes: ![]() The idea is the LED is attached to the frame/handle assembly itself. As the bezel needs to come on and off it just has a small hole which the head sticks out of when installed: ![]() ![]() Nice little glob of silicone and a ty-wrap to hold everything in place: ![]() ![]() And here we are wired in to the door lights: ![]() And finally assembled: ![]() sweet, I'm diggin it. You'll probably be seeing a few more of these from me as I can't actually legally drive the car yet...she just sits in the garage, patiently waiting, while I wash and polish and modify and tweak ![]() -------------------- ST205 Crew represent

Nice, I like it. When I read the title I thought it was going to be exterior handle door lights. In any case, I may have to do this...

lol sorry I just looked at the post quick and didnt read it b4. I just bought the LED's and am going to put them in different places as well.
Going to put one facing downward on top of the front speakers, and same with the rear. Also (my car is weird, no power windows, and the door panel is slightly different) but in the bottom corners, are small red reflectors (that look like they really should have lights lol) so I am going to put some red in there. Also in the compartment under the stereo (have an idea to make it a nice glow) Want to wire this all into the door opening system, along with a separate switch. ![]() work in progress, I will post pics when i get the LED's ![]() -------------------- |
