So I see a lot people on here with the amber part removed from their JDM tails like this:
and the link on this page doesn't work for me, I signed up to join their site but it still doesn't work... Does anyone wanna share how they did it? This post has been edited by ChfNix: Apr 3, 2010 - 5:41 PM -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!

Ok Guys here goes, Due to not having my Camera I will do my best without some of the picture's I would have liked. Tools/ Supplies Required 1x 10 mm spanner 1x Gas Soldering Iron with hot knife attachment, here is the one I used http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...D=&doy=20m4 A dremil could be used too. 1x Epoxy Glue 1x Swiss army knife with a Philips screw driver head. Step 1 obviously use your 10 mm spanner to take the lights off laugh.gif Step 2 , get the hot knife attachment on the soldering iron , once its up to temp get the cluster and turn it upside down here is a picy of where to cut, the hot knife cuts through the plastic like a hot knife through butter biggrin.gif , can also be done with a dremil with cutting disc Make sure you cut as big a hole as you can to allow enough room to remove the Orange lens. Step 3, Once you have the top cut away you will need ether a small (small in length) Philips screw driver, I used a Swiss army knife with a Philips head bit, the reason being is that the lens is held in place by one screw(see picy above) that’s in an awkward angle, once that removed its just a case of getting the lens out. Step 3, get the soldering iron out again, place the plastic bit back in the hole, once u have it sitting right u can use the hot knife to melt the plastic back together, once u have it as good as your going to get the epoxy out and plaster the edges with the stuff to make sure its all sealed, here is a picy of what it should look like once its done. Step 4, put them back on the car and admire your handy work biggrin.gif To do the both sides it took me less than an hour, its easy peezy biggrin.gif If I missed anything out I am happy to answer any questions. So I just put my USDM harness back in and used a Sylvania Silverstar 1156 bulb and it looks great!! Thanks for all the help yall! -------------------- Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!
