so i came to the conclusion that it is my resistor pack.

thats a good call joe. i was thinking of that when i was testing your stuff out, but though...how on earth could the resistor pack go bad? ive never heard of that happening to anyone.

the compression test is an odd one. when i went to retest it, the car had perfect compression across all 4.

well guys i have been out of the game for a little bit. The car hasnt been running great the past month or so but i figured out exactly what the problem was. I had a resistor in my resistor pack burn out and it wasnt sending the right voltage to my #4 injector, causing it to run like $hit, i bought a resistor pack off of all-trac.net, threw it in and its running good again. I still think i have a few boost/vac leaks comming from somewhere because when i get on it i can hear the air making a hissing noise and its not pulling as hard as it should be, nor holding boost for an extended period of time. Over the past month the car has kind of been on the back burner, but now that i have some money saved up i bought a few new goodies for her, and they will continue to come in the next couple of weeks as i get a few more checks. heres what i picked up and im pretty excited to throw on her and see how they work out.

resistor pack-installed

Greddy(knock off) Type-RS BOV-still in the box
Gates Racing 170 degree low temp. Thermostat-still in the box

i'll be keeping you guys updated...next is a wideband to complete the A-pillar, an SAFC, not sure if i wanna go with the II or the neo yet but that will come eventually, and a meth kit, then hopefully i can go and get her tuned and post up some numbers...im hoping to be some where around 220-230 to the wheels

update time...

Well its been 6 months, and a lot of noise, so i figured i better get down to ordering the exhaust stuff and get this thing on already.

Tomorrow its going to the Exhaust shop, its gettinga full turbo back 3", from the DP, a flex section, to the QTP 3", to a straight pipe, To the megan muffler...im really curious to see how this set-up sounds...theres a couple video clips on youtube of this series muffler on a GT and it sounds really really good, so we'll see tomorrow.

Over the past couple of months i have been slowly getting a bunch of stuff together...heres what i picked up

SAFC II
Megan GT Turbo 3" Muffler
QTP 3" electric cut out
Greddy Type-S BOV (took the knock off ebay one off and what a difference)
Greddy turbo timer still needs to be installed
Swoosh Oil Pressure gauge(still needs to be installed)
HID kit from DDM Tuneing(installed today and i love them)
Carbon Fiber GT-4 Riser blocks

HID Kit..looks awesome...im very happy with it, i got the 35W 8000k with a 9006 bulb.

I'll have more updated pictures of the car and the stuff installed tomorrow after she gets back from the exhaust shop..but just to hold you over..these are from last weeks jersey parking garage meet...enjoy..

Another update tomorrow....

haha...no problem man?

Well yesterday i installed the SAFC 2 and Art helped me set it up with some mild tuneing. We pulled some fuel out of it because it was running way too rich. This thing made such a difference with driveabilty and the way the cars feel its not even funny. It really suprised me. Not to mention it acts as a great way to keep an eye on the engine. Its an awesome mod and i highly suggest it to anyone with a swap.

This weekend i am picking up a Devils Own Meth kit and the controler that goes along with it. hopefully with-in the next few weeks i can have the new front end on, a boost controler, the meth kit, a wideband, and the turbo timer all in and installed. Im excited and really motovatied now that this weather is really starting to break....stay tuned for more soon

the SAFC didnt blow your motor, YOU did. wink.gif
used correctly, the SAFC is a decent tuning tool, that works quite well in the right hands.
any updates on the exhaust?
i absolutly love the cutout on dustins car.
