Here's a thread to post whatever you've done to your car today, big or small, there's always something to do, but not always big enough for it's own thread smile.gif

Should be a good history of the work everyone does on their pride and joy smile.gif

I changed the oil in my rear diff and polished my car smile.gif

today I............. got in my car this afternoon and discovered the smell of burning rubber. Upon inspection I discovered that my rear passenger wheel was at a 20° angle. Turns out that somehow I lost the bottom strut bolt and the wheel had pivoted on the remaining upper bolt. Got the bolt replaced, but now I need a new tire. FML.

..........reach 520 miles (2 weeks commuting to work) from a tank of fuel before the fuel light came on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[50mpg (uk gallons). £1.20/litre £5.45/gallon. 97 1.8st - stock]

I have been looking after the tyres / engine e.t.c. and there are long road work sections (40mph speed limits) which helps the fuel economy.

I know this is not likely to set the 6gc site on fire but Is this a record??????

cheers!

It's the highest I've heard of. The most I've done is about 420 before reaching the reserve.

Nah, not a record at all. I'm not sure where you got 50 mpg from though... Assuming you went exactly 520 miles and used exactly the 15.9 gallons of fuel that a Celica holds, you got just a little over 32 mpg (32.7). I'm also using US numbers- not sure if other Celicas in the world have different size gas tanks. In my old ST, I got 34-35 mpg highway, ~30 in town. In my GT, I was averaging 30-32. Keep in mind that I drive mostly highway miles. Not bad though! Try and keep it up!

Sweet action. I had no idea. I thought a gallon was a gallon everywhere. Now I'm curious what that turns out to be in US mpg. Gonna go do some research. Either way, I still say keep up the good gas mileage! Then we can finally rid the world of those rubbish hybrid cars...

Today I.....Washed the Celi and replaced Toyota emblems with Transformer emblems to match my wheels!

Tell me what you think:

I know the last pic of the Celi doesn't have the Transformer emblem on the bumper, it's because I didn't take any far pics of the car since I put on the emblems. Sorry!
