Bored one afternoon after Uni, me and my mate decided my car should start work on my car. Had it for a while now and it was completely stock. started by painting my rims. not a serious job but just as an experiment and they REALLY needed doing.

the state of them (pretty bad i know):

applied nitromoors paint stripper:

forgot to take photos of sanding and priming as i got a little overexcited... yes i have the mind of a child.
we used filler primer to make sure there was a nice smooth finish.

base coat applied:

nice smooth coat tongue.gif. the colour is bmw sparkling graphite and its lush biggrin.gif

clear coat:

sorry for my bollocks photography.

on the car with a little caliper paint applied too:

not bad for a rough job i think. i was also pleased we managed four wheels and calipers in a single afternoon/evening.
im also aware my tyres are whack and way too big. getting some tasty 215/55/r15s soon smile.gif

anyone else got some nice diy rims?
