Just notice alot of 6gc owners are also motorcycle riders. Maybe the few of you can answer my question. If you haven't notice; I recently got a kawasaki 636 zx6r. And I love the bike but everywhere I look i see people complaining about Kawasaki. I understand the whole "brand loyalty" and trash talk behind other manufactures. But what seems to be the dirt behind kawasaki?

To be honest i personally am a Yamaha fan; they make engines for Toyota. They also make musical instruments and a whole lot of other stuff. Where as kawasaki is simply a motorcycle manufacture. Why would a company so specialized had such a bad rap on the streets?

because people are stupid.

I have riden an 06 r6. brakes are amazing on the thing. all the power is made up top, but no balls down low. Not as comfortable to ride either. Shifting is wayyy to clunky and not smooth at all.

I love my kawi zx6rr. Not as torquey as the 636, but super fun and nimble. All I need for brakes, stainless lines and a nice set of pads.

My buddies 08 gsxr750 heavy and no where near as nimble as a 600. Well its probably because its a 600 frame with a 750 engine stuck in it.

They make more than just motorcycles. They're in the aerospace industry and ship industry, too. It's a big company. Kawasaki Heavy Industries. wink.gif

I have an '04 ZX-6RR and an '06 ZX-10R. I just love the sound and feel of Kawi engines. I've ridden Yahamas, Suzukis and Hondas. Not the same feeling. I'm not a fanboy, but I just prefer Kawasaki bikes even if they're not as pretty as the other ones.

My first bike was a Kawasaki EX500, wasn't a bad bike. It had some stupid little issues like heads twisting off bolts, and the valvetrain was really noisy but not too bad. Wasn't a bad bike overall, especially for the $450 I paid for it, put a lot of miles on it with very little wrench time.

Absolutely love my old Yamaha beater, 1980 XJ 650 and it runs like a charm. Starts every time, never gives me trouble, and is very comfortable.

Never liked a single Honda though, be it a cruiser or sport bike. The sports sound hot but that's it, otherwise I think they're uncomfortable and ugly.

Going for a Triumph Street or Speed Triple (haven't made up my mind which yet) for my next bike, I love everything about those bikes.

I donno why, but even though the 07~08 ZX6R (personal opinion) is ugly as ****, I would LOVE to own one... because at the same time they look mean and aggressive as hell xD

07-08 zx6r are the best looking IMO. If I could I would trade my 06 RR in for one.

2010:

2008:

2005 with projectors:

I still think the 05-07 zx6rs look the best. With projectors and Audi led addition is pure pornographic.

To get back on topic, I realized Kawasaki engineering is on the rudimentary side. For example; the chain adjustment system on my bike is done by eyeball it with notches. Also Kawasaki motorcycles are always under powered in the same class and have less fancy technology in them. For example the Yamaha have a fancy cross plane crankshaft with variable valve timing. And look at this dyno graph:

lowest horsepower at the lowest rpm. frown.gif
