last night I attempted to change out my wheel studs for longer ones. The fronts were quite easy as the hub has one spot with a notch in behind it, it was just a matter of filing down the splines a bit in order to get them seated.....the back however was a nightmare.

After stripping two puller bolts and cracking the hub part of the disc (right beside the threaded hole) I had to disassemble the handbrake assembly through the tiny access hole before I could get it off. Then of course there is only enough clearance behind the studs to punch them out and put same length ones back in....not 15mm longer. After a while of cursing I finally figured out I would have to cut about 2 threads off each stud and round the edge just a bit. Then wedge it between the hub and the hole and twist the wheel with a big prybar, then tap the stud sideways with a hammer and it would finally pop in. I had tho chase the threads on the first couple but after that I got the hang of it. Then reassembly of the handbrake mechanism is a whole 'nother job in itself (it felt very simple after what I just went through)

I haven't even taken the wheel off the other side yet....I guess I will have to face it this morning

Getting fuel filter, dizzy cap, and rotor in the car.

Probably ordering front wheel bearings and seals, water pump, and thermostat...maybe even oxygen sensors. Gotta love summer maintenance!

Purchased front wheel bearings, front wheel seals, thermostat and gasket, water pump and gasket, and Denso oxygen sensors, and NGK Iridium IX spark plugs.

Put the spare tire cover back in the trunk after half a year.

I see you got your car lifted.

Sorry to hear about your car, Jon, whatever may be wrong with it.
