yea, rained a bit but nothing too terrible. I think I almost fell and busted my ass atleast 3 times though. Turn out was low, but because of the weather I was expecting that.

Next year? Pfft! Next MONTH!

Okay, maybe not next month, but I will definitely be heading up north sometime next month to meet some people.

It'll take me a little longer to get mine going, but I'd like to have it going and take it up north by the end of summer. But I'm willing to drive the IS up there. If we go ahead and set a date, even if only 20 or 3 of us can make it, I'll go ahead and take off work so that I can definitely be there.

So........

Everyone is going to keep posting here for the next time you want to meet up right? Or should we start another thread?

Looks like you guys had a good time. Not quite as much fun as I had at work, but... oh, who am I kidding. I hate my life.

I'm fine with posting here, but another thread might be easier. Freddy started this thread and now that he's busy, he's not around to edit the original post to reflect future meets.

ugh maybe 71 will be fixed? NOT! I was just NOT comfortable with how rough and wet it was, my back end wanted to go every wrong way and I know that road very well, which is why the 1st time up I took off like a jack rabbit and stayed ahead somewhat, but its gotten worse since last year and I really pulled my pace so I'd have a car to drive back home. Kudos to those who can drive that faster than I, but I'd rather play the safe old man. give me a smooth road like that though...I'll tear it up.

Seems that we're all up for a second meet, and this time I will be able to make it, so that's at least one more person. Would it be strictly 6th gens next time or would it be an all Toyota meet? 7th gens, 5th gens, MR2's, etc.? I'm pretty sure I could get a big turnout from the IS 300 guys, but I'm not sure that I'd want them there. They would drown out the 6th gen presence.

Moar pics!!

So we got rained out, but the rain made for better photos..

Austin's green stitches, idea courtesy of Murg...

Splashing through puddles...

Cruising around Starved Rock and the surrounding area looking for some twisties...

Shig's car is damn near perfect.

Bitter's ride...

The sillyness that always happens when Celica people get together...

Another missed opportunity for Murg.

So after not finding any twisties, we visited another nearby state park that I can't remember the name of...

Just chilling under a waterfall...

So we got adventurous and kept climbing the mini waterfalls to the top near the dam. Austin followed, but everyone else hung back while we explored...

Austin decided to climb this tree. And then lost his footing. Chris said something like this, "Are you alright? Cause you just tried to **** a tree."

The light after the rain made for more good photos...

Muleballs apparently...

Please don't strike me down. I promise I'll be good.

End of the road...

Whoever said that we don't have enough nature near Chicago was wrong. It was definitely a good time. If only we could actually get more people to show up to Chicago area meets...

Looks like you all had fun...
I might have to take the wing off my Celica and see how it looks. On this one it looks real nice...
