UPDATE 15TH JUNE 2010 - BLUE ENIGINE!!

hi another update for you!


decided to give my engine some tlc as it looked terrible frown.gif


anyways will let the pics do the talking wink.gif

Also made some templates:






i cut the templates into some old wood to try them and see what they would look like and i didnt like them so not keeping them.

I dont want to be the bad guy here. But deep down inside in "my" opinion i think you are getting abit carried away painting everything blue... I dont usually like posting negative comments and dont let me stop you doing your mods. But i couldnt lie either.

the heat from the engine will burn off a lot of the paint, if not just discolor it.

the heat shield from the header really needs 2000 degree paint. Ive been there.

i used grill paint. its rated for like 1500 deg. and after like a week it started to chip off a bit.

i would keep it aluminium, and maybe polish it and keep it from rusting, i think it would b nice like that. and yes in my opinion as well is i personally.. wouldnt add anymore blue, but thats just me, its ur car in the end you do what makes you happy with it =]

Nice Work, I did the same basic thing. Defiantly interested in how the template plays out, would be interested to do it to mine, if it turns out good.
