^ Just ghetto-rig it. I still don't understand aha. It's hard for me to visualize i dont have any pics handy but ur brake line goes through a small slot on the coilover but it doesnt work well i guess on the megans a zip tie would be fine to keep it in place |

I still don't understand aha. It's hard for me to visualize There's a bracket on the strut where the brake line would usually mount to. The bracket is there, but the hole (or space to mount to) is entirely too big, and therefore, the line cannot be secured. I would assume so, yes. My struts have the appropriate bracket, so I didn't have to mess with this (not badmouthing Megan).

I called Megan and talked to Jose like upscale said, and he said they'd most likely be at the facility on July 8th or 9th and to avoid further delay, they'll ship them directly to us instead of sending them to upscale then to us. I see, so from what I understand, you string the zip tie through the whole that's too big and secure the brake line right on top of the bracket? You can see what I am referring to in the photo below. Basically, the bracket that is attached to the factory brake line doesn't match up perfectly to the mounting point on the MR coilovers. You can attach them using bolts, just not the factory bolts since the MR mounting holes are threaded differently. Also, the brackets will be in a slightly different position than factory, so it creates less 'slack' in the brake line if you mount the brake line up to the MR coilover mounting bracket using a bolt. Therefore, zipties are an alternative solution, though not recommended long-term. Long-term, we recommend the stainless steel braided Techna-Fit brake lines to replace the factory lines and mounting them properly to the MR coilover mounting brackets. Thank you very much, I understand now. But in the picture, why is the wheel so close to the coilover? And how long are the zipties recommended for? Because I don't have that much money right now The wheel is so close to the coilover in that photo because the wheels are not the ideal offset. They are WRX offset, so they are closer to the strut than typical Celica wheels would be. They are also 8" wide, so between the offset and the width they are a tight fit. Maybe some of the other members with these coilovers can post photos of their wheel fitment, I would bet there is much more clearance than in our pics. The zipties can stay on as long as they don't break, so basically that just means to use some high quality zipties and check to be sure they are in good shape every once in awhile and replace them when needed. The car pictured still has the zipties on and its been months, no problems and the zipties are still holding strong. Finally, depending on how low you drop the car you will need a little or a lot of camber adjustment in the rear. I describe this earlier in the thread. On the car pictured, we used two sets of Eibach camber bolts in the rear to correct the camber. Not sure if you are planning to install yourself or not, but don't let these little things about the brake line mounts and camber adjustment worry you. These are very minor and easily correctable. If you take these coilovers to a suspension shop for installation, they will undoubtedly be very impressed with the quality and fit of these coilovers.

@HectortheRican: As a user of coilovers (BC) dont let these little thing like the brake line affect the purchase. I have mine ziptied to the brake line. Well actually i have 4 ziptied to the mount. If you have a look at my build thread you can see pics, but just like upscale was saying, just gotta check it every once in a while

Don't worry guys, I still want the coilovers just as much as I did initially. I just wanted to know if I'd have to do any extra stuff, ya know? And I was debating whether to get the camber bolts on your site, would you absolutely recommend them? I'm looking to have a 2-ish inch drop. Also, I have 7.5" wide tires with a 45mm offset. Is that too close? I believe the wheels in the pic are 8" and +35 or +38 offset, so you should be fine on clearance. I would recommend ordering two sets of the rear camber bolts from our site. Definitely good to have them on hand to avoid delaying the installation waiting on them to arrive to you in case you end up needing them and didn't order them to begin with. I say to order two sets to ensure you can adjust enough based on the experience with the Celica pictured. On that car, it took two sets of camber bolts in the rear set to max positive camber to achieve the right specs. --------------------

Alright, I'll have to leave FedEx a note to leave the coilovers in my backyard because I won't be home the week that they said they'll more than likely be at my door and I don't want them just sitting on my doorstep. I got into a fender bender and bent my strut so I'm reaaaally needing these ASAP and since I won't drive my car with the bent strut (uneven tire wear), I'm stuck at my grandparents' house because I have no other way to get to work and they live close to my job.
