I tried that. I found that parking somewhere so that your windshield is in the sun in the morning is the best solution.

i would do that, except there isn't any on street parking by my house, or any nearby parking lots.

Today I discovered this:

Yeah, I had plans to change it out as it was making a god awful noise on turns! Boot came off last week, and then tore when I re clamped it. And today when I went to change it, the thing fell apart! No force or anything, I was kind of amazed. Anyhow, installed a rebuilt CV Half Shaft (drivers), new plugs, PCV, trans fluid/oil. I was going to do the mounts, but after fighting the lodged "tulip" I was worn out.
BTW, for anyone doing a CV Axle change out, the easiest way to remove the thing from the trans is with the use of a slide hammer with a puller hook. Three good hits and it came out. Dont waste your energy trying to pry it out (i spent a good 40 min trying to remove it with pry bars, then remembered that I had one of those tools), and whats more the dust seal was undamaged.

This weekend Stephen_lee and I rebuilt the entire front end of the car and bay - refreshed all the paint tucked some wires
Looks brand new under there.

Update to previous post - the improved airflow dropped the A/C temps another 10*F so I'm now down to 40*F and it feels great!

Installed rear strut brace and passenger side mirror (JDM folding) last night coudlnt help myself, saw them on eBay with a "best offer" listing and negotiated the price. Yet to wire up mirrors which will happen on a weekend I get free... probably not till Dec.

Rear strut brace makes a HUGE difference! And such an easy and cheap install/upgrade!

Yet to do:
*new tyres!! rears are bald...
*maybe new wheels (on the fence about this, trying to justify the cost :S)
*S/S brake lines
*install big brake kit - this will depend on size of rims i get if i change them
*fix ding in front passenger guard and rear driver's side quarter panel, plus scratches on passenger's side QP.
*respray after body works complete (keeping factory colour to cut costs - ie won't be doing inside or engine bay)
*Source missing interior panel plugs to replace missing ones
*complete folding mirror install (custom wiring etc)
*new A/C compressor and regas.
*CD player died so that needs replacing
*Alarm is useless without the key fob, so new alarm/immobilizer time

I'm sure I'll find more...

I hope it doesn't do to you what it did to me! I used Rain-X on my previous car. It was great for a short while then I had to clean my windows... Let's just say once you start cleaning the window you will need to keep cleaning, and that sh!t is HARD to get off, especially if you have tints...
