Not alot of things... but alot of things...

1. Engine ( New one is going in as we speak )
2. Wiring. ( Guy before me put in a 3sfe and cut and spliced got knows how many wires.... hot wires were cut and spliced under my steering column, every wire has been replaced.
3. Passenger axle keeps breaking for some reason no idea why, boot busted but i replaced them both a few days ago.
4. Needs brakes, i bought some new pags just havnt put them on, need rotors tho. Any reccomendations ?
5. LOUD, i want to quiet it down from road noise and exhaust.
6. Needs a new gas door hinge, mine broke !
7. Clear coat it chipping and the 10yr old window tint is fading.
8. The scratch on the passenger side is starting to get cancer. Hopefully will be fixed soon.
9. Needs debadging !!

Cant think of anything else, but im pretty sure if i thought about it for a little while longer I could come up with more things.

okay, since I started, there was a lot of problems, but now, not so much ^^ (255 xxx miles on the clock)

1. antenna literally just doesn't exist. There is no antenna in this car. It just disappeared.
2. If I had a vacuum/boost gauge, it wouldn't read boost, because I need a turbo oh so badly.
3. transmission leaks at the axle, I've replaced the seal, but I think it's where the seal holder attaches to the transmission.
4. Still no boost.

'94 GT Hatchback. 156,xxx miles. Just did an oil change this morning!

Can't heel-toe. Gas pedal and brake are different heights.
Leaking Oil. Need to replace valve cover gasket

ya about that heel-toe situation. Im having the same problem. Like you said, different levels, and kinda no room i think. how is that fixable.

Valve cover gasket is easy to fix if you have tools shouldn't take you more than 15 min.

i use the side of my foot on the brake and rolll to the side and hit the gas w/ the other side of my foot

Defiantely took me a while to get down but I got it good now.
My buddy wa in my car the other day and asked why my car was revving so weird(he drives standard too)
And I told Him I was jsut rev matching when I down shift.
He couldn't even tell i was downshifing that's how smooth it was.

It's 3 different colors.
The steering wheel is bent just enough from the airbag going off that the new airbag can only bolt in on one side, so whenever I make a turn it slaps against the steering wheel.
Semi-large dent on the back quarter panel.
Radio antenna is broke, so I only get one station in my area and its only in certain spots.
CD player doesn't work.
It hasn't been driven since march, but that will change next week.
Hasn't had an oil change since sometime last year.
If I push the cigarette lighter too hard, it pops out the other side.

But despite all this, for being 16 years old with 196k miles, it runs and drives excellent.

I can't shift gears myself. This might be rectified soon enough.

And sadly, I haven't seen her since the first of July. That will be rectified tomorrow though.

1) Annoying high pitched squeak coming from somwhere at the rear of my car. Comes and goes, no freaking idea what it is.
2) Power Aerial doesn't work (don't really care enough to fix it, prefer to have it permanently down)
3) Couple of very minor dents in bonnet where it looks like someone has pushed too hard when shutting it. Subtle, but I find it irritating
4) Couple of symmetrical dents at bottom of drivers door. Quite strange, and can't really figure out how it might have happened
5) Eats gas, but that's what you get for owning a turbo and living in a valley with only one way in and out: Steep Windy Hill, with 80km hour speed limit that no one pays attention to
6) Very minor curbing on one of my beautiful Konig 18inch mags, wanted to slap myself in the face when I did it

It's trivial stuff really. The car puts a big freaking smile on my face everytime I take it out, and I've only ever seen two other GT-4's on the road since I've owned it. Make you feel kind of special lol

Well, there finally is something wrong with it. I've broken the small clip that keeps the cupholder tray from sliding out of position.

Just picked her up tonight and after seeing other people's list of problems I don't feel quite so bad...

1. Rear tyres are almost bald - hopefully I'll manage to get some 17" rims before I replace the tyres, then I'll change all four and get the profile I want.
2. Rear left wheel bearing needs replacing - wil raid the wreckers/junkyard
3. Rear suspension is noisy - will replace bushes and all four shocks, probably go KYB
4. Antenna is broken off in the middle somewhere, doesn't go up/down - junkyard again for this
5. Passenger side mirror won't move and the surround is busted at the bottom - hopefully the wreckers has one of these
6. Interior roof lining is sagging a bit - don't know if I'll bother with this just yet
7. Nasty dent/crumple in rear driver's side quarter panel - panelbeater's job for sure
8. Bit of a scratch opposite quarter panel - might be able to get this out myself, I'll have a bash anyway (heheh)
9. Passenger side guard has a bit of a nasty dent. I'll have a go at beating this out as well but I think it's more a job for the panelbeaters
10. There's a number of dents in a few random places
11. Previous owner was an in-car smoker. I like my cars to smell good on the inside, not like a Lucky Strike powered gas-chamber

That's all I've found since the inspection before making the purchase and on the 1hr drive home.

12. Not sure if its a clunk or a pop but there's definitely a noise coming from somewhere when I change gears or if I'm stationary and give it a quick squirt. Unsure if there's unburnt fuel detonating somewhere it shouldn't be or if it's an engine mount??? I'm suspecting engine mount because it's not loud and the engine seems to be running pretty well. I'll be doing a service on it soon because I don't think the timing belt has ever been changed (and it's on 204K kms) and I just want to make sure I have no nasty surprises on my next weekend drive.

Hmm...

1)It's 4 different shades of silver/gray.
2)Wonderful flame/lightning bolt graphics that turned into paint scars.
3)Missing high beam lens. replacement has broken mounts...
4)Black leather seats are ripped. Bad.
5)Missing knob for driver's seat. Not sure what it does though.
6)Cigarette lighter is rusted and not connected.
7)I need brakes...
8)Needs struts and shocks.
9)Tail light is out.
10)Needs new shifting knob and boot
11)It has 3 shades of tint.
12)Missing middle hubcap of rims on 2
13)Wires run for a system. Including amp power/ground. Audio to radio. some kind of telephone cable... about 10 total.
14)Most trunk panels are falling off.
15)Front end is out of allignment.
16)Hood doesn't close straight.
17)Missing bumper reinforcement.
18)Muffler is dented
19)It has the wrong radio install kit so my fancy iPod dock radio catches the back of the console so it doesn't go all the way back into place.
20)Half of my gauges are out.
21) I'm out of time but there is more...

But I love it to death =]

Most notably... The engine is in pieces on my friends garage floor, and some idiot did a horrendous paint job with yellow paint.

Nothing that can't be fixed. smile.gif
