I knew calling Stephen into this would be a quick easy fix

QUOTE EDIT: whoa, whoa, wait. the original design is NOT A CLAP AT ALL. actually, it is basically just a FCD. lowering the voltage somewhat is ALL ranges of map operation. Thats true. We are doing some basic electronics work in engineering class with resistors and diodes, and all this setup is is just a variable resistor (the pot) with a diode that only allows current to flow one way. This will reduce voltage for all values that the ecu sees, similar to a basic fcd. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Right. but replace those diodes with zener type 4.9v or lower and you will be set. The voltage diode you select will not pass any current(clamp) under the selected voltage. so if you chose a 5.1v diode, the map operation will be unaffected at all.
BTW, if this doesn't work out for you, I can design a circuit that will work better/be cleaner. -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. This means that all you would need is the diode to be wired in right before the ecu and the pot is not needed. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Right. But the pot IS needed for adjustability.
