My baby has 19' tekno instincts finished in platinum silver

with 225/35/19 goodyear F1 on the front
and 235/35/19 toyo T1S on the back

because i have lowered suspension i had to get the front arches cut rolled and pulled out and the arch liner removed
so that there would be no rubbing

at the back no modification was required

p.s. i know a 6 gen in aussie which had 20's on !!!
major work though

check my gallary in www.celica-club.co.uk for more pics

thee is a guy that is doing a "GT-4" conversion to his red 6th gen. He has some type of 19's and they look damn good to me. I'm sure he will see this thead and post pics. Due to the cost I had to go 18". They should be in about Jan 5th!!!!!

i would go with 17s or 18s and a thicker tire. 19s will probably slow you down a lot and give you a crappy ride quality because of the low profile tire.

Agreed. Why make a slow car slower?

I don't know about your ST, but my rims didn't make a HUGE difference power wise. Then again with almost 30% more horse then you.... smile.gif

my 17's weigh less than the 14's i had on the car before, so i noticed no difference at all.

the speedo is a little off too.

Hey bro, just curious... how's the front lip treatin you? Have you had any problems going over bumps and dips? Your car looks as low as mine with the lip kit and I already damaged my front. Are you riding on your stock springs or lowered?

Thanks...

no problems so far. Gotta be careful going into gas stations, parking up to curbs, etc...but so far everything has been fine. Plus, it looks damn good, so I will deal with the lowness (is that a word??). The car is lowered 2 inches via dropzone springs.

thats the way i see it.... my car isnt fast... my car will never be fast... the only "performace" upgrade im going to get is exhaust... which im doing for the looks... it will always be slow, but it will look better than anybody whos around heres fast car...

They do indeed matey

only thing that make mine unique

is that b4 i bought em i told the guy to repaint em in a platium silver

so they were powder coated in black and then silver top coats applied

thus giving them a darker silver finish.

anyways i think they really suit the car smile.gif
