Gary just came by for a bit, and picked up the st205 transmission from me. He was great to talk to, and seemed very knowledgeable. Him and I had a discussion about the anti-lag system, and he may have convinced me just to sell the turbo manifold w/ antilag and the valve accompanying it. Still not 100% sure what I'll do. Any advice?

Any advice? the member Gary? with the '93 alltrac? if so, he is a great guy. anyway, yea, nothing you can really do with the antilag (unless you wanna replace turbos every few runs..lol) so if you can sell it and recoup some $$ spent, why not? -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Yup, it sure was Gary with the 93 alltrac. He told me that he once got to sit in your car when the 5sfte was still in it. I don't know about anyone else on this site, but I would have been so excited if I got that chance. Good advice. I'll put the manifold up for sale.

Alright...I talked with ATS a few days ago about my light build plans. ATS recommended the use of their cam gears, gss 268 in and ex cams, engle valve springs, phenolic intake manifold spacer gasket, and a multi-angle valve job on the stock valves.
For the bottom end: wiseco 86.5, acl bearings, ATS oil pump, rotating assembly balance, polished/balanced stock crank, and stock rods My goal is 300 hp, and i'd like to maintain daily driveability with the stock ecu. Thoughts? Have i left anything out? Forgot to mention...i'll be using all ARP hardware, and the ATS 1.2mm headgasket. for a 300whp goal the complete build is overkill, but hey, it sets the platform for you to make lots more power reliably down the road.
did you specify to them that your using a 3rd gen motor? never seen them mention the intake manifold spacer for a 3rd gen. you'll give a little up on the bottom end with the cams, but make nice gains in the higher RPMS, and will really wake the motor up, up top, especially as you upgrade down the road. sounds like you have a solid plan for a well built longblock. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

Anybody here ever heard of frozenboost.com? I was considering trying out one of their water to air heat exchangers. Really good price on these, and they are larger than the stock set up. Thoughts or recommendations?

frozenboost/silicone intakes is a good company to work with. Good prices, and very good shipping. All items shipped toan overseas location took aroudnn 6-7 days tops, which is great in my books...
I purchased one of the smaller WTA heat exchangers from them, and it was a good build.Larger than stock, yet slightly shorter.... although the drain switch could be swapped out for something else, everything else with it was great. My intercooler has never been cooler! Only problem i had was mounting. Had to get creative with that..2 bolts and 2 zipties worked wonders for me...might try something more permanent inthe future though.. Got the Koyo rad today, and went ahead and put it in since my old radiator was thrashed. I'll post pics up tomorrow. Too dark to see it right now.

why anyone would buy a setup from ebay, when we have a super reliable source here on the site, who actually owns celicas, and knows exactly what is needed and what isnt, is beyond me.

Pic of the Koyorad. I've got it installed on the 5s. I still need to get new pusher fans so that I can fit the 3s without melting the stock plastic fan shrouds. I'd take a picture of it installed, but the 5s needs a good cleaning first due to coolant all over the engine bay.

I'd take a picture of it installed, but the 5s needs a good cleaning first due to coolant all over the engine bay. you can just trim the shroud a bit to clear the compressor housing, it wont melt. art (lagos) and others have the same type of rads with no issues, once you trim the shroud. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
