I would like suggestions from people who have actually run one of these products. I have read so many posts all over the internet and they are about the same on both sides. Half good and half bad for each. For each time you have someone saying they will never use them again there is someone claiming they are the best on the market. I have no experience with either so some input would be great.
I will not be using the car on a track but would like increased breaking for the street. Thanks everyone, Lazurus |

Depends on what you are going for. Hawk pads are about the best thing you can do for a factory brake system, in my opinion. They will be a little harsh on the rotors so you'll have to replace those more often, but "more often" still doesn't mean often.

Help the site by keeping the amount of threads you post one after another to a minimum. yes i guess but with most members skimming over this section and most posts just looking at the titles I thought it would help me get more responses. Sorry if I am overloading the forums or messing somthing up. |

I've been having this dilemma myself, trying to decide between Hawk HPS and Red stuff pads....
i'm going to go with Hawk, from what i've read, the performance is similar, and they are cheaper, and seem to be quieter for most people. -------------------- |

I went for Hawk HPS, EBC seems to have mixed reviews about them not working as great when cold. The performance is very similar but Hawk seems to get better reviews overall. I have them and so far so good.

Ive had both EBC green stuff. And Hawk HPS pads.
Fyi red stuff isn't really for the street...so it wont perform well at street temps. I currently run Hawk HPS and slotted rotors and they have lasted a VERY VERY long time and have suffered harsh abuse (im talking twisty road consistent braking and brakin from north of 130mph to nearly a stop). They perform very well, dust moderately and have a great life span. I have no pad noise or anything funky. Green stuffs were ok, I remember them dusting a lot but also doing a pretty decent job at stopping. They mad a bit of noise when cold but that went away when they got warm. In the end I highly recommend Hawk pads |

I have heard the green stuff takes a while to heat up.
I have the hawk HPS and I have nothing but good to say about them. They have saved my front end more times than I can recall, as well as the lives of countless deer, squirrels, miscellaneous wild animals, and even silly pedestrians without a crosswalk. HPS ftw. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊
