does anyone has an old or new bearing, I need the measures of it!

My local dealer quoted the bearing alone at 300$, an I have the measures for a bearing that could be the right one from a part dealer, but he wasnt sure about the bearing. and he quoted it at 80$, so its very tempting..

good write up.smile.gif

Make sure and double check all of your part numbers, I bought new hub bearing and seals from my local toyota dealership.
He didn't ask if it was ABS or not and ordered me the ABS version of the seal and dustcover, apparently the guy pressed in
the new bearing and hub didn't see the new dustcover is a 1/4 in taller, and it binds up when you tighten the axle nut.

The PN for the ABS version seal kit is 04422-20080 and it will not work on a non ABS celica.

you sure?? i have an abs kit on my left side and non-abs kit on my right. both work perfect, the abs kitted side has a cut out on the retaining ring for the supposed abs sensor.

Unless the guy distorted it when he pressed it in, my dust cover doesn't clear the outer axle, when I tighten the axle it binds when I removed the dustcover and tighten it, it spins free. The abs version is twice as tall as the non.

Edit: You do not have an ABS dust cover without an ABS axle. The non ABS has a notch, the ABS version has a small slot and is twice as tall.

The non ABS axle has 2 rings one that goes inside the dust cover, and one that sits just outside the dust cover closer to the tranny, it acts like a cap and is a larger diameter than the other, if you have an ABS dust cover it won't clear the larger ring on a non ABS axle, it sticks out too far and hits, I am going to need see pics.

To sort of bring this back from the dead, I need to replace my passenger side one as soon as I can. Is this the seal I would need for the WB? http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/199..._/N-j1pcaZ8oxmo

I might order from the dealer. From the dealer the bearing is about $80, but I'll get that at autozone. The seals come together (inner and outer) so I'll order those from the dealer and they're about $30

I don't understand what you mean, I have an abs hub and it works fine, the only difference I could see was there was a tab where the abs connects to it but without abs it leaves a little hole.
