I have white ones right now and I'm looking for a change. Red LEDs would definitely match the SSIII interior, but I dunno if red would be too harsh of a color for the gauges. Blue would definitely be easier on my eyes. Who's got experience with either?

i do i had led blue behind the blue indiglow, and now i have black indiglow face guages with red leds, and im going to have to say the red looks so! so! much nicer and the blue was a bit nice to the eyes, but only on long trips would the blue be better, the red is awsome!

Hmmm... I think I'm gonna go with red because blue might be off with the seats... but then again, I'm not sure if I want to color-coordinate my interior like that.

blue in the dash of the celica looks good but i must say it has a hint of rice to it, red makes it look very clean

And then I thought of red because of the interior. So I'm trying to decide. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

I had blue LED's in my gauge cluster once, and I had red bulbs. I have to say the red bulbs looked far better in the gauge cluster than the blue, as well as not affecting your night vision. I vote red.

Skyler, it'll be different for me, man. All my numbers and dials will be red since I have the OEM cluster display. Thanks though

Think color waves. Red is lower on the spectrum, so your eyes won't strain to read. Blue is on the upper end and will be more difficult to see.
With that said, I had blue LED lights in all three Celicas I owned, but I'm going with white in the mr2 for the oem look. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I think I might do orange in mine just to piss everyone off. It'd be nicely readable though.

I used red led strips at the the back of my SS2 dials. They are the white faced factory ones. Here is a pic. The white spots you can see only appear in the photo. As you look at it for real it is all the same and in no way hard on the eyes. Bad photo but you get the idea.

I did a blend of RED LED's with blue overlays - check the avatar <----
Doesn't look bad, and I've hear that an all red cluster is hard on the eyes after prolonged exposure? Something with the color making you tired after a while... -------------------- |
