FT-86 II:
They've updated the FT-86 design. Looks better, in my opinion. More aggressive. -------------------- |

This thing looks even more amazing now!!
But one question.... why aren't the side view mirrors visible in this shot? They very well should be, they aren't that small. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

The ass end might flare out enough to hide them. If you look at the front end picture, then look at the rear, there's no way, dude. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

It's possible the angle hides them. It's also possible they removed them from the picture to make it "cleaner".

It's possible the angle hides them. It's also possible they removed them from the picture to make it "cleaner". Yeah, probably photoshop. But honestly, I don't see how it helped. It would've looked better if you could see the mirrors. Just makes it look like a weird concept car that Bruce Willis would've driven in The Fifth Element. Lol too sleek. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

...and sure enough, that thing gets worse and worse looking the nearer it gets to production
It looks bloated now, and is in real danger of being covered in junk. Those DRL lights on the front look a bit It's certainly striking.... but for me it has too much going on, needs to be cleaner.... the original looked better to me. Maybe sell this as a 'sports' option. All imo of course -------------------- |

I'm picking up what you're putting down. I'd expect some of these features to be lost as it makes it way to production.

According to latest word on the street FT-86 production version will be shown in last quarter of 2011. Consequently on April 20th 2011 they are saying that scion may be picking up FT-86 here in usa. .
Here is my question. How will FT-86 in whatever form fit within context of this website. Are we going to extend our site to fit that new car or should we expect to see people who buy it leave 6gc for ft-86 forums? -------------------- Captain Pessimist

The 7GC was never added, sooooo i guess they would leave....
Unless they are like me, Super, and the others who haven't had a 6GC for years but still turn up here all the time Soooo, Are the engine specs confirmed? Are there different engines? If it just has a NA 2 ltr i don't think i will be getting one. I'm hoping for a FI version as my next car needs 260+ BHP. Sorry if it's in here, i skimmed the thread but don't have time to read 17 pages right now... -------------------- |
