I just drove Ted95's car yesterday cause he has one from the same company that I'm buying, but his is stage 1. The stage 1 that he has grabs a little bit faster than the OEM clutch does, but it's doesn't feel that bad at all. Before I even bought the stage 2 from the same company, him and I talked about his stage 1 and how that one doesn't feel much different than oem. If it was a bit stiffer and grabbed more than what it did, than I would have gotten the stage 1 instead of the stage 2.

shhheeeeshh, haven't touched this in a while lol
hopefully pulling the engine and tranny from the blue car today. also going to sears to pick up a craftsman tool set.
i need to find a local machine shop to resurface my flywheel asap
friday starts the beginning of my transmission swap and i'm hoping to get it done wthin a few days

oh yeah, and the subframe mount from the blue car is in good condition so that's another plus biggrin.gif

engine is out of the blue car got it off on monday. yesterday i pulled the transmission and wiring off the engine. the wiring needs some minor attention, but what can you expect from a 17 year old car? lol today i will be taking the flywheel to a machine shop to get it resurfaced because it has a decent lip on it. Hopefully friday will be the start of everything and I'm hoping to pull my engine, I just have to be careful to not break anything.
Here's everything that I'm doing during the swap:
Converting to a non-abs master cylinder
Changing out the dizzy and power steering pump
Replacing my whole dash because some of the clips were broken on it.
Putting the manual interior and engine harness on my car.
Then some other odds and ends. I have 10 days to do all of this so I have plenty of time smile.gif

So today was a good day.

I got the interior harness off and took out all the airbag wires because I'm not using airbags in my car.
Second, I took the clutch master & lines and brake master & lines off.
Lastly, the hardest 2 pieces to get off today were the ebrake cables. They were a pain in my a$$ because on one side, the bolt in the caliper broke so I couldn't get it off. Tried getting the two bolts off on the hub. One was already stripped and the other wouldn't budge. "Hey dad, where's your saws-all?" haha went to town on that caliper. And on the other side, I couldn't get the two bolts off again so I had some more fun! biggrin.gif Proceeded to cut the exhaust to get the heat shield off, and then it was a breeze from there!
Tomorrow my interior will be coming apart, and hopefully my engine will be out!

the bay will get a nice wash down though, there's power steering fluid all over one side

so far today I have taken the fenders, bumpers, head lights and most of the front end apart. I got the 94 interior harness in the car today to realize there was an extra plug coming from the outside. After a talk with Dustin, we figured out it was for the ABS. Since the front body harness of my car was a little hacked up, I'm going to swap it out with the 94 front body harness. I completely deleted the airbag wires going to the front of the car, the holes will have my fog lights going through them on the drivers side, as for the passenger side, I'm just going to tape it up so no water gets in it. I didn't pull the engine today because of me taking all the parts off and tinkering with the wiring. Pics will follow later on!

yeah i did, on ebay, but the guy is taking forever to send them!
I can't complain, got them for $74 shipped haha

Update:
So everything mentioned up two posts pretty much happened. Other stuff I did was completely take off the front body harness, pull the radiator and fans, and paint a few things. The front of my car (radiator support) looks a lot better now that it is painted! The engine bay is going to be completely pressure washed once the engine and tranny are pulled. I'll do a light sand and wire brush on the rusted areas and then the whole bay will be spray canned a flat black. I like the look of it in the bay, but not for the whole car haha The car is going to be painted either the stock black or one of the Maaco special blacks. Either or, I could careless, I just want it one color again.

(can anyone tell me what that yellowish sh!t is near my oil pan and on the PS pump, well basically everywhere down there, pics below)

Yes, I know, the sticker on the white piece says 69 haha it was on my original harness, but I swapped the plastic piece onto the new one just to keep that number. Surprisingly enough, the parts car had lucky number 7 on it

no progress today as I could not get the passenger side axle nut off. broke a 1/2 inch breaker bar at the tip. bought another one, that one was pushed to the point of it almost breaking. heated it up a little bit a small torch, did nothing. then, got an impact gun with a 1/2" drive from my friend, and my other buddy brought his portable air compressor over. It was too small so it did nothinggg. nothing is really going to happen for the text two days because it's suppose to rain. I might put up a tent and see if my neighbor can run an air hose from his big compressor in the garage to my house and see if I can get it off that way. I'm hoping so, I really am.

Well yesterday I went through all that pain and agony for nothing! This morning I was just browsing through different DIY's and came upon one on how to replace your axle. I started reading it and found a step by step explanation on how to remove the whole hub assembly. EASY ENOUGH! Then, I went to Auto-zone because it was raining a little, bought gear oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and some spray paint (to paint my engine). Got back and it stopped raining. After that, I went to work on the parts car and took off the whole hub, it was very simple! Once it was off, I did the same process on my car, and it was also a breeze. The only thing I do have to do is drill out the hole where the cotter pin goes in the tie rod end because it broke off in there. Not a big deal though. Can't wait for Thursday, it will be time to pull my engine! If there is a break in the rain tomorrow, I'm going to pull my DS axle out as well biggrin.gif Oh yeah, and the seat rails came for my racing seats! smile.gif

same thing happened to me when i did my wheel bearing.. darn cotter pin didnt come out... air tools to the help lol. drilled a new hole and in went the new pin.

Is the spindle suppose to wiggle a little? because the one I have to swap on from the parts car is a little wiggly. I would assume it would tighten down once the axle is on, right?
