Alright im kind of embarrased to ask this question but this would be a first for me. Umm, where all does everyone get their aftermarket steering wheels from lol. And whats considered a good steering wheel (actually anything is better than my stock one right now). Im just looking for something that offers more grip for my sweaty hands and isnt made of the stock materiel...And what is needed to install one in a 6gc...

And as far as seats go, which is a good brand to go for that offers reclinability still (im a tall guy and the 6gc dosent really have much leg room for me with moving the seat back or reclining it somewhat). And also are there companies that make specific seat rails for 6gc's (rhd ones?? does it even matter if your car is left/right hand drive?)

Lol, i can stall engines blindfolded, wire up anything into anything, and do just about any mechanical job with my car. But ive never honestly installed a steering wheel or aftermarket seat with rail in a 6gc, and i dont know anything about them...Can this be a thread for aftermarket seats and steering wheels laugh.gif biggrin.gif

There are a few site I believe that sell seats and steering wheels. I wonder the same things as you do as I too don't have much exp. This is a matter of comfort really, one seat may differ from the next and it depends how you feel about it; I would try to test some seats out and find reviews on them. If you haven't tried the search then I suggest doing so to see what may come up. Hopefully some other people can help you out more than I can.

THe search function is a good idea, but i guess that when i posted this thread i was hoping that someone could give me some firsthand on comfort and such with steering wheels and seats. I shouldve added that to the original post i suppose. But hey, thanks for the suggestion yo! But does anyone have any firsthand on what feels.felt good for them. I mean im being serious that i really dont know jack squat about what seat feel better than the other, or if the most expensive stuff is neccesary or would something like megan racing seats do the job?

yo 3waystunna when you get back here go to autobacs and get a boss kit and find a steering wheel that you like. when i got my car it had a boss kit and a TRD horn button so i bought a D1 Spec steering wheel from sunsea and im a happy guy lol. i put pictures on my profile i think. seats on the other hand, pretty much have to go off of what needs you have. do you want a tight hold, do you want your shoulders to be held, do you want to run harness', do you want a whole for 5/6 point harness, ect. once you know what you want then you can narrow your search from there. i like recaro for some reason. i have one that i got from a guy i work with i have to order new foam and covers for it.

Sounds like a plan! About how much did your wheel setup run you then?
Also i haev been thinking about an autobacs deal? do they even haev anything remotely useful?

That is something i would go for. Simple looking, and it seems as if it would do the job for me.

You'd be hardcore to pay 6 grand for that wheel, lol

Also does anyone have a sparco steering wheel. Was looking through their online catalog and really like the STRADA. Lol, cheap and simple. Just the way i like it!
