After doing the swap the car runs but it wont idle right. it idles at 800rpms and it wont go faster then 60mph.
I been trying to get this fixed right for 2 months now. I changed the ECU and i also changed the MAF thinking it would be these two things but it didnt work. When i put the new ECU in it ran right for like 4 or 5 days then it went back to the same problem. It feels like its holding back power and it smells like heavy gas fumes all the time. Can any one help with some ideas to what it could be!?? Thanks guys. |

are you using the 20v ignitor? Also double check all of the vacuum lines and make sure they are connected in the right locations. Also, check for check engine codes to see what you come up with and post them as soon as you can.

I think where its burned out at controls the VVT. |

I had that on 2 different ecus, it didn't seem to make any difference. Cold starts where the worst, I sit their and crank and crank for a good 2 mins b4 it fired up. Vvt works, but its the idle control valve that the ecu can't control. MOre than likely you wired up something that wasn't supposed to be hooked up. Switched to MS2, waiting to finsh the install after 2 years lol.
