Basically, I'm wanting to know (from ppl who drive swapped celicas) what you are running up front for traction. I'm not talkin about the strip, just a good set of front tires that won't spin all the way thru first and second, or something that won't just spin from a 2nd gear roll. What have you used with success?

I don't know what tyre brands are easy to get over there but any semi slick will do a better job than just a ridiculously expensive all rounder, only get about 10-20 000km's out of them if you're lucky, have a look if you can get Kuhmo KU36, I had them last and I loved them.

The KU36 looks very competitive to the falken azenis rt-615k. I hear nothing but good things about both. Hmm. My only problem is that I'm running 15"s. Not that I care terribly about looks, but the only offerings I see for semi-race tires is a 195-225/50 profile. Even though I'm lowered 1/2" all around, the wheel well gap would look rediculous. Price you pay for performance, I guess, lol.

Yeah definitely compared to the 615's, they are a great tyre but probably a bit more than the kuhmos, Federal 595rs are another one which are great for the money!

225's on 15's would most likely have way too much roll, I wouldn't go anymore than 205, hunt around you should be able to pick some up in a good size.

Any good street tire will do. Just keep in mind that 15in wheels are really easy to spin no matter what you throw on there.
I have a set of nitto neogens in 225-45-17s and I like them a lot. Great traction and good value...but not the best winter tire.

You want power but have no money. That's a problem.

Cheap. Reliable. Fast. Pick two.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...eModel=Ecsta+XS you won't regret getting them! Federal 595RS are another good one that I used on the track numerous times and I love them, I believe they wear a little worse than the KU36 kuhmos though which I wore out in about 20k of road driving lol.
