i have a dessicant and filter...

but its hot, the compressor is getting a lot of hot air and makes water, any solutions????

better filters, autobodydepot sells an inline hose thingy, made by devilbiss IIRC that dries the air as it passes thru it, its made for spraying cars.
they work, but definetly not a permenant solution, theyd get expensive to use all the time, they are ~15$ each IIRC.

yeah that worked, i had one from harbor freight but youre right, only lasts a while. Im using a DA sander and the compressor keeps working, and sucking more hot air..... its ok when i paint, but air hungry tools make it happen....


this sucks.....

I'll leave the drain cracked open a hair so it just keeps dripping all the time to reduce what does sit in the tank. We have 2 water traps in the shop, one is just a normal trap which honestly I think does very little. The other is a special filter which we probably don't replace often enough...it works pretty well. Get about 3 of the water traps in a row and it could work..
