Do you have a moon roof, or sunroof? A sunroof opens, a moonroof does no. If your sure you have all the bolts out and have unplugged everything then i would just pull down a bit on it. There are 6 bolts IIRC..Post pics if it still doesnt wanna go.

A moonroof is a type of sunroof. Specifically, an electric one that is glass and slides between the roof and headliner, which the celica's does. Therefore the celica has a moonroof.

i took out all of the bolts, drain pipes. i didnt take the motor off i just unpluged it and the control box it should come down with the whole assembly. im just unsure if im missing something. all the bolts were shiny except 2 that were painted with the rest of the car. just wondered if there was something that i had to unbolt with the moonroof slid back on the top side

this is the painted bolt. does the white piece of sheet metal come out with the moonroof

They are called a lot of different things by a lot of different companies, its all marketing. But generally my definition is correct, and in some, yours is as well.

OP just undo all the bolts if you need to, your not going to unbolt the roof if you do, and after it finally comes down then just reattach the unused bolts.
