Wow that is really impressive.
Quite the custom fabrication.
Would love to see it finished though.

how won't it be a celica anymore? it still has a celica body (slightly modified), and a different engine, with different suspension up front.
someone put a 2jz in a volvo, it's still a volvo.

The chassis will be completely tubed, the front suspension, steering, and brakes will be something else. The engine, transmission and drive shaft will be supra. The body will have to be altered and extended to fit the engine. The interior will have to be changed to house the massive transmission tunnel needed. The only thing left a celica will be the body.

you could call it a 6.5gc if you want.
it would still be a celica in the legal sense and similar to them running monte carlos and tauruses in NASCAR

i love how nascar calls it stock car racing yet all the cars are not a "stock" car. nor is new monte carlos or taurus are RWD anymore so therefore its not stock car racing its modified car racing.....always been a pet peeve of mine with nascar lmfao

It'd be a kit car. Too much work for the sake of the engine. Might as well just buy a Supra at that point with all the money you'd spend. Not to mention, the Supra looks better :\

What would be fun is to take the front end off your Celica and fabricate it to fit the Supra body you just picked up. Celica-Supra :dodgy: Then you wouldn't have to change anything engine wise, it would be a cheaper build, and you'd have a 4 headlight unique Supra!

Naahh im pretty much committed at this point. So the swap is gonna happen but right now most my money is going into buying a 96 rx7 twin turbo for the girlfriend or the 68 camaro we have not decided yet. Since i dont really trust her to drive my other lowered car without ripping off the front end on the road i gotta get her one now. I want the rx an shes on the fence about it an wants 68 ^_^ i know that was totaly off subject.
yeah i had talked to josh about his 2jz 7gen for a bit an decided against using the oem chassis
To much fabrication an rabid its funny u mention that im playing with idea of ordering th front clip from a supra which i hve been looking at no engine but complete front assembly with suspension taking that an cutting the clip off the 6gen then welding the front end from supra at the shop then starting the swap an doing a front end conversion to the gt four which would not be hard but it also presents problems to over come as well so im undecided as of yet but researching my idea to c if its possible or if i should go different route we will see. ohh an in three months im ready for paint so ill be posting some more pics soon on that subject. I hate posting from my phone it took like an hour just to get this readable lol

as far as your wide body ideas are concerned check out fiberglassforums.com they offer some damn good advice on using foam as a base plug to make your parts from, i was attempting some splitters but some how my foam wasnt how i cut it from one day to the next dunno what happened lol
