Alright, I know this is a complete shot in the dark, but does anyone know if the TEIN brand of Pillow Ball Upper Mounts for camber adjustment will fit on the TRD Coilover setup? (The KYB version of the TRD Coilovers, superstrut style).

I know thats a random question, but im about to put these on and I'd like to be able to adjust camber without literally grinding the holes in my strut towers (dont get me wrong, I will if i have to! haha)

anyway, I can't seem to find any real info about them anywhere, nor can i seem to find an actual TRD brand of mount to allow camber adjustments.

trd superstrut and trd macpherson coilovers use the same cartridges. So I don't see why they would be any different. The top of the mounting points (for the suspension mounts) between the GTFour and ST202 are all the same.

the trd and tein coilovers look very similar. the main difference is the shade of green between the two coilovers. As far as using different spings i wouldnt be able to help you with that. I'm almost certain they are interchangeable. but i'd waight for other input. many jap guys install swift springs on the trd coilover and have fantastic results!

im not sure what the sping rate on those gt4 tein coilovers are. your current trd sprins are 10k front and 8kg rear. check out my last post on this thread. I believe st205 runs stiffer spring rates over the st202 due to extra weight of transmission and awd system:

ah, more excellent info! haha. Im thinking the tien mounts will work, and if not directly, I think they will be close enough for me to make them work. That being said i'll still need a way to adjust the rear camber too.. haha

I know C-One used to make pillow ball mounts but I heard they went bankrupt a while back ago. It wouldn't be a bad idea to ask megan racing to see if they could sell you their upper mounts made for our celica's seperately.

and noo you cannot source tein upper mounts separately. their are also some other australian websites that carry cusco as well. Just can't the websites right now.

you can check out bc racing coilovers too see if they sell em separately, also blitz as well. It all parts that are out of reach in the States.

I used cusco top mounts front and rear with superstrut trd coilovers, dunno if tien would be any different, but would be surprised if they are, why not try get some cusco ones.
