I heard that some of the breaking parts (discs, pads...) from the 1994 Supra fits on the St205, can anyone confirm that?

brake disc will not fit, they are different, just the pads and rebuild kit for the calipers, the calipers use different mounting points, but internally are the same.

ughh I so need this answered and didnt want to start a new thread. Has anybody physically seen the the SS-III twin piston calipers. I need to know if the Twin Piston SS-III Calipers use the same mounting points at the single piston Mcpherson brakes used on ST204 and ST202 SS-II Celica's!

I need to know if the Twin Piston SS-III Calipers use the same mounting points at the single piston Mcpherson brakes used on ST204 and ST202 SS-II Celica's! there are 2 types of twin piston calipers, one is desinged to mount with Super strut suspension, and the other for McPherson, just make sure you get the right one for your application. -------------------- |

mounting points should be the same, because GT4 calipers will use the same mounting points as SS III calipers and they share the same mounting point, but I'm not sure if they'll be threaded or not ( GT4s are not because the thread is on the knuckle. )

I pointed this out in the Superstrut Suspension thread. This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 23, 2011 - 8:56 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

but at the same time SS III owners swap Gt4 brakes with no modification, everything bolts on, so mounting points are still the same regardless of different part number for the knuckles.

but at the same time SS III owners swap Gt4 brakes with no modification, everything bolts on, so mounting points are still the same regardless of different part number for the knuckles. what ss-III owners have you talked to?? there probably hasn't been any active SS-III onwers in the past year. I believe yellowchinaman told me that differece. All celica's carry same hub so then why would they have dif part number SS3 Knuckle, Steering Right 43211-20281 ST202 Knuckle, Steering Left 43212-20241 ST202 GT-Four Knuckle Steering Right 43211-20291 ST205 Knuckle, Steering Left 43212-20251 ST205 I mean I know you've done your whole research and all on it with brake conversion. I'm also aware you've been here longer than I, but I've only seen one SS-III and another SS-II onwer swap over front gt4 calipers. At the same time it would make sense for toyota to use the same mounting point, hence diff part number?? stronger gt4 bearings?? -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

There is this guy who has put GT4 brakes onto his GT SS ST202, and from what I can read the only difference between the ST20S & ST205 SS knuckles is if it's threaded or not. Not too sure what he did in the end if he just swapped to a ST205 knuckle.
He's also a member on here iirc, cant remember his name though -------------------- |

You finally cleared up that answer!! but at the same time SS III owners swap Gt4 brakes with no modification, everything bolts on, so mounting points are still the same regardless of different part number for the knuckles. hmm sorry Culp you were right This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 26, 2011 - 2:04 AM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
