As cool as it looks, that would be so depressing to own. Imagine, you pull up next to somebody at a stoplight, they're eying your Lambo, and you secretly know that although you might have a 3S, you don't have the power to keep up with the looks.

Right? I meant to add to my post that you'll never have that Lamborghini V10 sound either. As cool as it looks, I'd rather build a BA MR2 or buy a more capable car for the same money.

Power is good dont get me wrong, but coming from myself (the bodykit crackhead) its amazing wut u can come up with when u use ur imagination. Thats what makes it so amazing imo. Nothing is more of a pride, self esteem builder, and euphoric than to stand back, look at what uve visualized and accomplished. Just to say yeah I did this, wether for a customer or urself. Someone's dream is to own a replica? Go to school, save up, get a real car. I'm sick of seeing these nice clean cars being chopped into these "dream" replicas. Just my thought.

I guess that post was thrown over ur head Block, lol. U missed the point I was trying to get across bro, which was the dude who had this done thought "hey let me try something different and see how it works" he had an idea which was turn an affordable car into something exotic. I for one give the dude mad props just for the simple fact that he one thought outside the box, and two, took the time to come up with a detailed plan, research, and build. Most people wouldnt do this just for the simple fact that theyd worry that others would think it was stupid or a waste of time rather than to stop and think how much goes into building something like that then give support not only for the idea but that fact he proceeded to do it despite wut others would say or think anyway. So my thoughts are mad respect for being differnt and to think outside the norm despite popular trends and ideas.

That not uncommon thing to do.
You have to remember that 99% of us will never be able to own the real thing. I'm not disrespecting anyone but its simply the truth, those cars are built for the rich. For the rest of the gear heads, why not build a car that you can show off and have a blast doing it. What the point of modifying a civic to look all cool when the end of the day it still a civic? If you build a car from scratch like this, at least you get to show off your pride and joy and impress the rest of the population that knows nothing about cars. |

yea but at the end of the day that car is still a mr2 im not saying its bad to do just I think instead of using a good car like the mr2 the video its cool to build a car like that but when yougutting a car tothat degree I would rather use a wrecked car that's is no longer on any use as what it is

yea but at the end of the day that car is still a mr2. im not saying its bad to do. just I think instead of using a good car like the mr2. its cool to build a car like that but when you gutting a car to that degree I would rather use a wrecked car that's is no longer on any use. You could use a what ever wreck, fire, and flood damage MR2 if you wanted to. But at the end of the day when all is said and done, do you want to drive and invest $20k on a wrecked salvage frame? Or would you want to invest $20k on a clean title mr2 that give you Toyota reliability, great mid engine handling, and is still a safe frame to drive around in? I understand what your saying that is a waste of a perfectly good car. But who would want to convert a completely rusted out pinto into a lambo and after the conversion you get the craptacular handling and safety of a pinto? Another way to put it is like Polishing a turd, and the end of the day you still end up with crap. The last reason they chose to use a nice clean MR2 was because it is a promotional video. They want to give confidence to the future buyer you will be driving a safe car. Most people see wreck cars as death traps even if they are properly repaired. So associating a death trap to anything you want to sell is never a good idea. |

see, as nice as it would look, its still a Mr2 and will never be a lambo or ferrari..
but the worrying part is that you would be driving a car made of fibreglass. ok so they are making a solid structure underneath, but all that fibreglass will just shatter on impact... enough to put me off, if you can afford it, buy the real thing, if not just daydream, but dont risk your own , loved ones or anyone elses life |
