Didn't want to make a new thread so.... My idle seem fine after the car warm up and start warms..... but during a cold start up the RPM will drop down to 100 and even stall sometime???? Any way to fix this problem? Is something missing??

whoah that could be anything, did you touch anything else? does it feel more from the mounts or more from the engine?

more from the engine, since the rpm changes the way it shakes..

Check for a vacuum leak or any rips in the hoses/air intake system. Also, cleaning the throttle body and IAC would be good options.

i think it might be a vacuum leak too, because after driving, the car smells funny from the engine. know where's a good place to start or a good way to find out which is leaking?

I started checking around the air intake system (air box, air hose, and the throttle boy) then the EGR system (PCV valve and various hoses near the fuel filter). Usually, the culprit will be in those areas.

i sprayed carb cleaner around there and nothing. no change in idle sound. cleaned the throttle body and the rpm seem to stablized.... but the car still experience shake hmmm..... I'll work on it again tomorrow and post an update

ok,... what vacuum hose/area might be on the driver side? near the two belts... cuz when i spray carb cleaner in there, it settle down and I can see fume? smoke? (cold day out) coming out on that side when my light was on.

One thing to count on is your EGR valve, EGR resurculates exhaust gas back into your combustion chamber in order to cool it down for emission reasons. That valve can be stuck slightly open allowing exhaust to enter when not needed.

Coolant temperature sensor. Replace it.
