Hello everyone, I just purchased a 95 Celica convertible GT with 223,000k for $1400. I don't know if that was a good deal or not and i was iffy about buying the car since it had high mileage. But so far I haven't really ran into anything serious with the engine besides EGR valves which ran me about $400 bucks with engine diagnostic. The only thing that is wrong with it is the back window fell out and I have no idea on to put it back on the top. Is there anyone out there that has had this same problem? Also my seatbelt light stays on, Is it just a fuse or is there something else to it?

For the light, I'd say that the switch fell out of the bottom of your driver side buckle.

ive never heard of anyone having either of those issues, usually when that back window goes you have to replace the top, atleast thats what ive heard. as far as the seatbelt sounds like either a fuse or a grounding issue

The window can fixed with the same thing the windshield replacement guys use to adhere the windshield to the front. Forget what it's called but I got a free can when I had my windshield replaced on my convertible. It's 3m something. I'll look it up later.

For the window the only thing that I could find that would actually hold my window was 3m black super weatherstrip adhesive part no. 03602. Funny how it was only 3 dollars and worked the best. My window repair is still solid. I only had to do about 25% of the window though. Otherwise you would need the stuff for nissan 300zx quarter windows that stuff will hold anything. Also check that the plug is together under the seats. This post has been edited by xrav22: Nov 22, 2011 - 5:50 PM |
