10 things you didn't know about the FR-S
Most of it seems known to people following the car, however, this was surprising.
QUOTE
10. Its Suspension Setup Is Different From the Subaru BRZ
The FR-S has lower spring rates than Subaru's BRZ, but its dampers are stiffer. The change primarily represents the tuning strategies of each company and personal preferences of the development engineers. This and the styling differences are the only substantial changes between the cars.

player... what I meant to say in my awkward post is this:

Go to a dealer and order a car. At the dealer you get option of choosing an engine that you want. Stock vehicle comes with so much horse power that you can get at a base price. You are given options to install another engine into the vehicle that is more powerful and so on and so fourth. Simple concept really. Many car manufacturers embraced the idea of allowing buyers customize their car to fit their driving style.

All I am saying is this: a car payment is a car payment is a car payment. Whether you are paying $380 or $400 is not that much different but value wise it can mean a difference between buying a powerful out of the box vehicle vs buying a slowpoke and try and make it go faster through bolt ons inevitably paying about the same as you would have, have you bought a tuned car to begin with.

ya two engine options would of been nice. Scion anyhow is all about customizable parts. But not engines.

I did read one time that the scion frs here in America would come with a diahatsu 150hp or so engine. anybody else ever read that in a magazine???

Confirmation of 5x100 makes me mad. Sure hope someone figures out a STI hub swap.

Initially, yes it sucks. But this can mean good news in the long run. FR-S/GT86/86 or w/e has so much hype right now. Do you guys really think no jdm wheel makers are gonna jump on this? If this car succeeds in sales, and aftermarket wheels are in high demand, BETTER 5x100 wheels will come out. which also means WE 6gc'ers will have more options. I for one would like them to make 5x100 wheel for my GT-four

ya I was just going to mention that. usually wheel manufactures tailor their wheels (design, offset, wheel width, diameter) according to the market. So in turn if people really jump on this frs like civics and integra the it will mean more options for our celica. Hmm I wonder what the offset on the frs is???

hehe ooo maybe we underestimated toyota's marketing scheme with their hubs (lug nut pattern design)

ehh... in my opinion sound is what defines a impreza. You can hear them things from far away and you know its them. The growl is like a business card for the vehicle. How can you not like the sound of this:

It sounds good, but there's no way thats a stock exhaust. With that said, the only thing I don't like about it is the side markers on the front wheel wells.

Yes but an exhaust system wont get rid of the boxer rumble. Therefor it wont sound like an impreza, which makes me happy.

hmm honestly I think someone should change the tail lights. In some exterior body colors, the rear tailights (altezza style) don't look good.
