Hi all,
I have just got myself a GT4 ST205 for a bit of fun as I have a daily driver that is very competent but not really fun. Itd going to be a bit of a project to turn it in to a track car so I am hoping to pick up some good information and idea's. I have spent 10years tuning German turbo cars so the GT4 is a bit different but I am learning fast |

Welcome to another real GT-four driver, If I lived in the UK I would be signing up to gt4oc, the knowledge there is the best around when it comes to a four.
Most people on here have LHD fwd celicas, and our cars are very different in the important areas. (engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension, driveline, floorpan/chassis. ecu, etc.) This post has been edited by Cuts_the_Pilot: Jan 6, 2012 - 4:56 PM -------------------- ST205 Group A Rallye GT-Four, #61 of 77............600hp GT3582r

Thanks for the welcome :-)
I have looked around on GT4OC and it seems to be a bit thin on the ground for information, I know I may get to see more after paying the anual subscription and although its minimal, not sure I wont to pay out for it when there are so many other free resources. Not rulling it out but thats were I am now. From what I have seen on here there is alteady information that could assist me. This week end I am replacing shocks and springs and some of the links on here have given me some confidence that it wont be too difficult. Having started looking for parts the US guys seem a) spoilt for ccoice b) saving lots of cash compared to the cost of parts in rip off England, its just a shame shipping from the US to the UK is not cheap. |

^^what he said^^
When I got my first GT-four (9 years ago when I was 17) I joined GT4OC and it was free and open to everyone for a 12 months or more, then they brought in mandatory membership fees for full access and I let it lapse. -------------------- ST205 Group A Rallye GT-Four, #61 of 77............600hp GT3582r

It must have dropped off since I was on there then. In that case I suggest joining toymods. It's an Australian site dedicated to Toyotas of all types. There is a GT-four specific thread that is thousands of pages long and many people on there who know a fnck load about them.
Some of you may have seen the GT8, the ST185 Group A with a twin turbo 1uz in it, Justen, the owner/builder is a wealth of GT-four and technical knowledge. Unless you plan on making 4 or 500 kw at the wheels the stock drivetrain (but reco'd) with a decent clutch will hold up. -------------------- ST205 Group A Rallye GT-Four, #61 of 77............600hp GT3582r
