So as many know, my black Celica is no longer drivable without some fun repair.

Lets have a moment of silence, and enjoy the view of what I believe to be one of its best former pictures.

She will serve well as a part vehicle for the new GT

To the new.

Grabbed this diamond in the rough for 1500 cold hard cash, plus 40 in gas, and 10 bucks in tolls wink.gif

Now of course for that price, you must expect some issues. Nothing major, but she has a blown clutch. What was a 2 1/2 hour drive, turned into 4 because I'm a cheap arse that wouldn't pay for the tow. I grannie'd her all the way from Orlando area to Gainesville. Those RPMs would just shoot up with any tap of the gas. So little by little, she'd get going, and made it home. She has a relatively new engine, it is certainlly not the one from the factory, but it feels and sounds strong. Hard to determine feel with a blown clutch I know, but I have an imagination.

Some of the cosmetic nit picky tuner items

Gunna need a new fender, thankfully the old Cellie will donate.

That'll buff/bondo right out!

Moar buff/bondo outs

This is the only one that scares me. Figuring i'm going to have to pull that down some, then cover up with some skirts.

Through all its flaws, I see potential. The best part of the deal though....Its not a salvage title, so I can finally add collision on it!

Yes! I couldn't believe it when I found one for the price. Though I already had the mounts and crossmember, it still saves me a bunch on the S54, which feels pretty solid. Few other tidbits like rear disk breaks I don't have to convert anymore, and one thing that has always bothered me on the other cellie was the windows trim rubbers. They are near perfect on this one, where as the others used to drive me up a wall. O and the bonus sunroof is a nice addon =) - Going to get the leather re-done, as I doubt my covers will fit on those seats. Backs are coming out, as I hate giving people rides.
