Yea my Celia is loud. But not the loudest I've had lol
My 94 st had the normal bolt one an then had 2 12 inch 1000 Watt Sony subs an 1200 Watt amp
if I turned it up past 18 the mirror would fall out of place
The roof started to flex one day when I was showing off an put dents in the roof lol

haha damn, my friend whose has the camry installed a double din Kenwood touchscreen, hands free talking (dont ask me why he did, IDFK about the hand free shizz) and dont know the wattage, but has 2 12' kens in the trunk and when he pumps it up with heavy bass, its looks like he kidnapped richard simmons and stuffed him in the trunk and is trying to get out thru the head board (think thats what thats called) lol

The unit I got has a ton of plugs to bypass the factory amp.. but I don't need to. This thing puts out more bass than my car can handle and with the tweeters I've got, it's highs can kill your ears lol.

It makes my side panels buzz. I have to take them off and figure out what's buzzing because it's driving me nuts lol.

Dude his car does the same thing, he get music that specially moddified so the only thing you hear is just heavy bass. The door panels, the windows, the mirros, even the trunk and lisence plate even shakes and the plate reflects the sunlight at me whenever it moves

Haven't really had the time to do anything with the car. White Sparco mud flaps are on back order.... still waiting on those. It's snowing now and is 12 degrees outside so there really isn't much working out there without a garage heater. Splitters aren't going on until they're painted, but again it's too cold outside. I hate the winter

Once the tax return comes in, new clutch, new Koenig's and Yokohama SDrives.

Very nice car you have. Always nice to take a diamond in the rough and polish it up. In the process of such myself. Which leads me to my question. I saw that you installed some OEM Euro fog-lights, and have them wired into the the side corner lights. Do you just have them spliced into the wiring, or is there a relay involved? What all was involved with that? Don't need a separate switch like you have. Thanks for any information that you can provide.

I ran a relay. Wiring as follows: Power from battery to relay, wire to parking lights, wire to ground, two wires to the power on the fog lights. I ran the ground wires of the fogs to the frame/rad cradle.


Small update. I decided to install my rear speakers properly today to try to fix the issue with there not being anything coming out of them.

I should get a job wiring audio equipment lol.


Ran into a small issue with the self tapping screw... I'd try to screw it down and then the head would hide and the nut driver could not grip it... so...


...problem solved with a square sticky piece of foam (also prevented a rattling issue that could have happened from vibration )

Then I ran the tweeter wire to the crossover.


All mounted up



Well the passenger side works now... but it is a bit scratchy and doesn't seem to be totally powered. The driver side doesn't make noise at all but both are getting power, so it's not the wires at the speaker end. Any thoughts as to why it may be not working now? I'm thinking maybe there is something wrong with either my amp, or the wires going to or from the amp. Maybe the wire harness I have is shot?

I hear you on the wiring job, it's fun for some reason eh? I always enjoyed doing my speaker installs.

From the sound of it (or lack thereof), you might be right on that harness thing. Any way for you to test the amps?

Thanks for the response. Speaker install looks good. Eh, could be wires. Never know when the wires will have a weak spot or break in them.

I've been too lazy to rip the back seat out... again... and try to find the issue. I've got an amp meter somewhere that I can see what it's putting out. My boss thinks it may be a ground issue.

I have to get tires for them (take off the mudflaps and get rid of the rust again on the doors) but this gives you a rough idea

What I'm fighting with right now is tire size. I've got the tire brand and type (Yokohama S-Drive) but not sure if I want 215/45/R17 (what is on the rims right now... accept bald and with steel bands showing) 215/40/R17 (closer to OE spec) or 205/45/R17. Anyone have any loss of power with 215/45/R17? (Scion TC spec)
