hmm.. SPOON, i believe, is another big aftermarket supporter for honda's, kinda like MUGEN is. i think that if it were really a SPOON engine, it would have spanked u. but i dunno much in that area, someone correct me it im wrong.

i got a really good hole-shot....and i heard him grind a gear as i was passing his a$$.....if it was a spoon/turbo/whatever or not....i shut his mouth tight after the race...as i drove off to get my pink slip and to rub it in his face he was screaming at some guys around him....he popped his hood and his engine was smoking--that might of been the cold weather...either way it was a great celi moment in my book |

Spoon engines are regular honda engines with SPOON made upgrades.(pistons oil pan all that good stuff.) They have Mass power, and coss tons!!! If the dude really had one, he had between 7-12k to blow for about 30hp @ ehh, I would say 10,000rpm's. The rpm's is just a guess though. I would say he would know how to shift if he really had a spoon engine. (although spoon does sell engines in the US.)

Do yall agree that an engine that redlines at 12 is just stupid? how could you get any power at the speed?

yea, spoon is a japanese based company that is all for honda/acura. really expensive, but if you can afford it, and would actually wanna fix another honda up, like everyone else you see out, you can get the power.

Spoon makes complete engines also. They made a engine which kicks 250 hp on the wheels. So as the other guy said or the tranny from the guy was broke or he was just a nerd

Oh lord another TF&TF victim.
A Spoon engine is a Honda B series, F series, not sure about H series, that are tuned with Spoon internals. These engines are very expensive! They also require a rebuild after 10k miles or so. But thats the price you pay to have a high performance engine. Now this kid: A) thought his engine was a Spoon engine because he had a "Spoon Sports" sticker on his valve cover... B) is a dumbass ricer... C) watched TF&TF too many times... D) is a dumbass ricer... E) all of the above |

it all depends on the type of engine. the s2000 redlines at right around 11k if i am not mistaken. most honda engines go up to at least 8k rpms. just about every street bike out there goes to 12k or better. it's all about the engine. and no it's not stupid, it's GREAT. if an engine can produce power at such RPMs, it's going to be quick... -John- -------------------- |
