^^^^ get stainless steel braided lines. rebuild your calipers (depends on your car mileage??)

abs is awesome( keeps you from locking up brakes on sudden stops)

unless you track your car I'd say keep your abs??

Even most track cars have ABS...shoot LM GT cars have ABS....its stupid not to have it.
I'm converting TO ABS..

I have the part numbers for the delete I'll check for them when I get home. I did it to my celi when i swapped in the 3s. It's a lot easier with the motor out but can be done with the motor in. Just need non-abs Lines and master cylinder.

To get ABS when you have a non-ABS setup, just get into the habit of pumping your brakes when you have to stop fast.
I swapped to non-ABS and when I do have to stop fast, my wheels don't lock up. It's fine in the rain as well, but just watch out for sand patches cause those are what will get you from time to time. Just make sure you have grippy tires that aren't almost bald and you'll be fine.

Its called "threshold braking". thumbsup.gif

ABS is for the inexperienced drivers who panic and slam on the brakes as an initial reaction.

i'm with playr158 on this one. a car with ABS will be able to keep each tire at their peak braking limits, even when the slip conditions per wheel vary between left/right and front/rear, especially during cornering where the inner wheels are most likely to slip first during braking.
one reason not to have it is to have that feeling of being "one with the machine" without any electronic driving assistance.

Well I want to add ABS at some point. The rear wheels lose traction alot faster than the front and ABS would balance that out.

TC bracket bolted right on.

almost the same size.


ST on top, TC on bottom


pads and bracket for ST on left, TC on right


new brakes.


The bracket for my ST brakes and the bracket for the TC had the same sliding pin rust and lock in place. I had to clean this out prior to fitting. Probably the cause for horrible brakes before.

Time for some TC brake upgrades (once I find the weakness in these)

The ST205 have four pot calipers and ventilated 315mm discs in front and two pot (floating) calipers in rear (also 315mm discs)

The ST205 brakes is really good actually.
