Hi guys, I just need some help seeing if anyone knows what went wrong with my car. So I. Was driving my car saturday night and it was driving perfectly fine, then I put my car in 1st gear and it felt weird, so when I took it out of gear my car stalled. I started the car up again and I realized that my car was still in 1st gear but I could move the shifter around, so now my car won't pass 1st gear, could this be my transmission? I really hope I don't have to replace it, I just replaced the shifter cables about a month ago, only for something like this to happen. Has anyone else had this problem or know of it? Please help

Thanks

Sounds like the shifter cables may have come loose? Feel any resistance?

The car feels fine when I'm just driving on 1st, and the shifter is pretty much useless at this point

So then, start taking your dash apart again.
