First car I drove as "mine" was my dad's 00 Buick Century Custom. Took my driving test in it, and drove it until I was 18. (two years)
Second car, (first that I actually owned) was a 1999 Toyota Camry LE: Started off as this: Ended up with this: (Well sort of. It was lower and had a full 2" SS exhaust from headers back when I wrecked it) (Yeah, that's an ultra rare TRD spoiler from the TRD kit that they had for these cars) Yeah, it was just a Camry... but I loved it... and rocked it hard until the day some asshole speeding through a yellow smashed into me: This post has been edited by RabidTRD: May 24, 2012 - 11:07 PM -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. My first was a Ford Escort Mk2. It had an RS2000 engine with twin Webers and all the usual stuff.
Light car + RWD + decent power = very fun! It was a great car, but sadly like many first cars it ended up being crashed. -------------------- |

Oh yes... the first car.
'85 mercury cougar. gifted to me at 16. the passenger side window didn't work, the master cylinder was 90% gone, thermostat stuck, etc. I drove it to school until I sold it to pay for prom or something. Next was an '88 thunderbird (practically the same car) I shared that with my brother and we abused that poor thing. I think it finally died with around 270k miles on the clock. Then was the '92 grand am. again, shared between my brother and I. It was my first FWD and first stick. I came back from school to it and quickly ran into head and electrical problems. probably about 192k on the clock Finally, I bought my celica. First car that I purchased on my own. I had a huge case of buyers remorse the day afterwards and tried to return it. I'm so glad that they wouldn't take it back. That was 11 years ago. Damn, I've driven every single car I've owned into the ground. -------------------- '99 Celica GT - Sold

Thank god you're alive after that Lil-joe, if that had been the drivers side I think your face would be more totalled than the car.
Heres my first vehicle, my 64 Chevy C-10. I still own it four years later. Paid $2500 cash for it my senior year of highschool, which was a huge deal at the time because I was living on my own with two jobs to support myself on top of school. So proud of that truck. lol, that wreck happened 9 years ago, lol. To this day all I remember is leaving my friend driveway, down the street, pulling on to the main raod and driving for like 5 secs, then waking up in the hospital.

My first car was a 1986 Corolla GTS with a GZE swap. That car was sheer fun. Of course, someone else thought so too and permanently borrowed it. When the cops recovered it, it was still in great shape except it was missing rims and seats. Mother refused to let me claim it out of impound (car was in my name, but i was 16), so when she went on vacation, I claimed it, got new seats and rims, and repainted it. Told her it was a "new" GTS haha. That lasted about 3 months until my stepdad in his lifted Ranger came home from a Marshall Tucker show stoned and accidentally drove OVER my car. All these events led me to the first car I bought on my own (my dad got me the GTS)...1991 Toyota Supra Turbo. Paid $4000 for it, had a 75% finished 2J/6MT swap, needed tons of bodywork, but had potential. That was 12 years ago...

I consider my first vehicle to be a bit embarrassing so I was going to avoid posting in this thread but... What the heck. '99 Dodge Ram, 5.9 liter V8, single cab short bed 2wd. No weight over the rear wheels plus mountains of torque... Fun stuff. No LSD though so it was a one-wheel wonder. It did not get wrecked Followed that up with a '96 Celica ST, insanely clean, which got very slightly wrecked but was not my fault. Then a string of other Celicas and an IS 300, none of which have been wrecked It seems like I've got pretty good luck compared to a few others on here.

65 chevy impala, 4 door, 327 in the trunk, in pieces, paid $100 my first vehicle that ran was a 72 chevy longbed, 2wd, 350, auto there is another thread somewhere the list is long and unimpressive lol I really wish I still had my 54 ford f100 with a 455 olds, that thing would just melt tires, not much for handling though. hehe nice randy! my first car was an 81 celica gt. wish i knew then what i know now, i'd still be driving it. what a fun little car that was. blew the headgasket, and didnt have the know how to fix it, or the $ to pay to have it done, so i junked it. also had a 81 civic, and a 78 skylark 2 door, with blown shocks that was litterally like driving a boat it swayed so much! lol a few random POS cars then got another early 80s accord from my cousin for 50$, he originally paid 50$ for it, drove it for like 3 years, i bought it from him, drove it for like another 2 years, drove to virginia and back in it, and taught jenn to drive standard in it, and she killed it. shortly after that, jenn got the 94, and the rest as they say is history! lol -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
