Hey everyone!
I hope it is ok to post this here... I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong place. Anyways, I recently decided that I want to import a JDM ST202 Celica or ST206 Curren over to the States, swap the gen3 3SGE and tranny into my ST162, and then part out whatever is left. My only problem right now is deciding which car I should buy. Since I will be parting out everything other than the motor and tranny of either car, my questions to you all are: Which car would you people prefer? Would anyone here be interested in a JDM Curren front end conversion, tailights, RHD conversion parts, etc...? Suggestions or input on how hard it would be to sell parts off of either car? The Celica has 109,000km while the Curren has 102,000km. Here are pics of the two cars I'm looking at so that you all have more of an idea of which car you'd like parts off of: Celica: Curren: Doesn't seem to be in as great shape as the Celica, but if anyone wants that JDM Curren conversion... Thanks for looking and have a nice day! Comments and suggestions for my ST162 would also be appreciated. Import Celica, I'll take the seats and headliner as long as it has a roof. Ooh, and the bumper too. The Curren tempts me, but I dont have all that downtime...

Neither car can be legally imported on the Stares as a whole. It will be far easier to get an ST202 front clip and be done with it.

Neither car can be legally imported on the Stares as a whole. It will be far easier to get an ST202 front clip and be done with it. I will try to see if I can get them to remove the engine and drivetrain and ship that seperately so that it would be considered "an assemblage of motor vehicle equipment items". (After all, it is going to be a parts car...) I also haven't been able to find any ST202 front clips with the gen3 3SGE let alone one that is affordable (Although since I already have a gen1 GE, would there even be other parts I would need from a front clip? I know with a GTE swap I would need all the sensors and stuff but going from GE to GE shouldn't be that complicated would it?) Thanks for your input though. So 1 vote for the Celica so far... I want your 1G GE if you decide to sell. Yes, I know it's the least powerfrul yada yada, but it's also the most likely to run on obd2.

Yes, I know it's the least powerfrul yada yada, but it's also the most likely to run on obd2. lol depends on how much you're willing to pay, and how much it would cost to ship it over to you. Leaning towards buying the Curren at the moment. For those that are interested in the Curren, how much would you be willing to pay for the front end conversion parts? (You can PM me if you don't want to post it here.) All the Curren front end for sale ads I found here were either several years old, or didn't have a price included, so I just wanted to see how much people are willing to pay nowadays for them or if there's still even a demand for them. Anyone interested in an RHD Conversion or other misc pieces as well? Thanks everyone for the input so far. -------------------- '89 ST162 Celica GT-S: To Be Stanced
