just some quick pics from this weekends work
lifted her up and deleted the side markers installed Racing Beat Miata rear endlinks as well as energy suspension 16mm rear sway bar bushings (front bushings and st185 front endlinks i installed a few weeks back) ss-iii front splitters moched up oem sides Curren Hiro rear extensionss going to start getting friendly with a DA on the celi over the next few weeks, getting it prepped up for paint after i replace the hood. quick, random, possibly dumb question.. but.. is it possible to leak oil from the dizzy? i know theres a little gear in there and im wondering if a seal might have let go. i have a small oil leak that i see coming from behind the motor. the headgasket is dry, the intake mani is tightened up and from when lookinh up at the back of the block from under the car i notice oil in the upper left area of the motor (such as on the hoses and such as well as the top of the head and near the fuel rail. i noticed the the motor is clean from the dizzy up and under the dizzy is damp and gunky and when i whip my finger under the dizzy i get black wet oil residue. dizzy is tight bit wasnt sure if maybe a gasket would be bad.. i know, that was a long quick question lol ill post a pic up next chance i get. Yup, It is possible to have a leak from there. The seal for the distributor is really cheap. Don't have the part number on hand at the moment, but I may actually have an extra in my pile of 3sgte gaskets. Either way just run to Toyota, shouldn't cost more than 15 bucks.

got some things done today on the celi, ordered2 new tires, i went with BFGs KDW2's and im dropping thw wheels off at the shop tomorrow.
made some progress on the ride today, got the holes welded up on the trunk and some spot welds to clean up some rust that was coming through =/ also found the oil leak.. as stupid as it was lol.. its coming from the bottom on the oild catch can, the oil seems to be leaking from the bottom of the hose the connects to the VC.. theres some oil on the VC surrounding the fitting off the cover. i felt and seen alot of oil on the smaller hose that runs to the back of the black and seen it was traced to the top of the VC. im guessing this is because my hose coming off the catch can isnt connected to my intake. has anyone else have this issue? i heard it was ok to have it just vent out so would leaking be normal even coming from the top of the VC? -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

Hey Ted95 I have a quick question to you. I am changing my whole suspension bushings on my st205 and an aftermarket whiteline sway bar. Now my question concerns the Racing Beat end links. I noticed that few others to are installing these. We do not have any other aftermarket end links designed specifically for our celicas? I noticed these are for miatas. Do they work okay? did you test them? if yes is it a good mod and change them to these? Do you think should i install them too?and if yes which models specific? Thanks mate and great project keep up the good work

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=83860 ITS IN THE STICKIES! DON'T KNOW the compatability i with n/a celica's vs the gtfour. the ones that trdproven installed are much bigger than any other on the market. that's tire size is huge. those rims come stock with 205/50 but yours are 1.1inches larger. Going for top speed racing huh, you can hit at 150mph for sure . still have stock speed cut on? havent updated in a while, have had a busy summer but heres some updates..
recently i have had some shifting issues so i replaced my clutch master and slave cylinder and still isnt working. ive eliminated every possible external variable and only thing left to do is to drop the tranny and take a peek inside. so i recently ordered and new Clutch Masters 6puck unsprung clutch as well as new cardone axles. also relocated my boost controller a while back picked up a nifty wideband as well, may look familiar to some some pics of the bay This post has been edited by Ted95: Oct 7, 2012 - 1:05 PM -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

Ariund 600 or 300.if.u.dont.care.for lsd ya i know what you mean. i will probably peice together an e153 setup as time goes by, i know the clutch that im putting in now will hold and do just fine for a while as my Comp clutch didnt. after installing my Comp clutch the first time through i read else where a few months later about the problems people had with them. i should be good with my ClutchMasters. next big step for the celi would be the e153 tranny.. or a different project.. something with a 4 barrelll -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe
