Engine bay looks fairly straightforward for being a newer car.

I just came home from our official car review, and after our top rally driver drove me around the track, I must say that this car is amazing for any kind of cornering because it handles just amazing, but there is some notable lack of power on straights. but overall, car is amazing and can't wait for more products in that way, more upgrades and more types of that car. I will post pictures later today, as I don't have my camera at home now.

Looked at one at the dealership yesterday. It's a small car. Pretty sure the celica is longer than it but would be a fun car.

That's good IMO. I don't like tinkering around with cars that require taking half of the bay apart to get to something as simple as the battery tongue.gif

^^ I'm sure we're going to see a lot more of that coming up. A car that handles as well as this and has attracted as much attention, of course people will be trying things that they shouldn't.

I got the chance to drive my tuner's FR-S today at a FRS/BRZ dyno day.

It's not a quick car by any means, but in the ~15 minutes I drove it, I enjoyed every second of it.

With standard bolt-ons (Intake, Header, Exhaust) a BRZ on site today made 170ish whp/ 150ish wtq. I don't recall the exact numbers, but I will post them when the results are up online.

And the dyno run of that BR-Z

170 whp after mods? Guess companies are still using flywheel hp... rolleyes.gif

If I were in the market for a new car it'd be a tough choice between the FR-S, V6 Camaro, and Hyundai Genesis 2.0T.

It was a pretty humid day - I know Bob (my tuner) ran his bone stock on a cooler less humid day and got 171whp/144wtq.

Damn you heat and humidity. Guess it shouldn't be too long before someone drops a STI engine into one.

Not sure why they chose to run the pipes like that. It has a hemholtz resonator just off the header to eliminate droning. Stock mid pipe - because it is large enough from the factory. The muffler Y's off in the beginning and goes into two 6" mufflers. Why they didn't run it like a standard muffler I don't know. It looked good from underneath.

Le sigh.. After driving one and running some numbers (9.8% tax on cars here in WA - making the Out the Door price $27,7xx) I will probably go throw down a deposit on an Ultramarine 6MT FR-S this weekend. Probably won't see it until late August.

Thinking of colors...

Whiteout: Most owners in my area (BR-Z and FR-S) opted for white, so that is out.
Argento: Saw the silver last weekend... didn't like it.
Asphalt: My girlfriend's tC is this color. It's alright, but we've already got a car this color.
Raven: Try keeping it clean. I'll never buy another black car.
Hot Lava: No.
Firestorm: I have a red car... but I like how Firestorm looks in overcast conditions... which we have a lot of here in the Seattle area.
Ultramarine: Not sure I like the red interior/blue exterior clash, but the color looks good.

Awesome, definitely post pictures. Raven and Ultramarine would be my two choices.
