An Aussie perspective!,...
you feel shattered when a Kangaroo jumps out into our car! and dents your newly painted front quarter panel! (happened to me last night!) you have a growing relationship with the guys at all the local auto supplies shops within an hour drive from home your friends start taking bets on how long you will take to mention your car from the second you walk into work. you see another 6GC and get way too excited! and lastly have a bitter rivalry with your childhood friend who decides to by an Integra... You know you own a 6gc when-
To this day you still pull past the gas pump nozzle bacause you underestimate how short the wheelbase is. You've unplugged the power antenna because you're tired of listening to it grind and whine. You keep the rear wiper off because its only useful at a complete stop. You risk wrecking to stare into large panes of glass on store fronts so you can watch your reflection drive by. You've plugged youre car charger into youre phone then plugged the phone into the stereo at the same time so you can listen to the whine and pretend its a turbo. You've used a 1 ton winch to pull your driver side axle out, and it dragged your pickup truck sideways instead. You've replaced the AM2 fuse on the side of the highway because you got a fuel injector wire stuck in the valve cover gasket. You keep a flashlight in the center console because the map light is utterly useless for looking in the back seat. You still use the key in the drivers door to lock and unlock your car. You call Supras by the name Celica Supras just because You get harrassed by Subarus and Mazdas all the time. You totally ignore Honda's existance because they're not worth your time. You've decided you can't make it through that turn at 80mph only to watch the Nissan Sentra in front of you not make it through that turn at 80 mph. |

^^ Lol so true. I was visiting my dad and working on the car earlier this week and discovered that in my absence since I moved out, someone with an Alpine Silver facelift ST204 (yep, I know all that because I own a Celica) has moved in about two miles from him. Brigette and I want to put a flyer on his car but we know he's not an enthusiast plus, living in the country like that, it's frowned upon to pull into people's driveways and check out their cars. Can you see his face when he opens the door and sees me lifting up his windshield wiper? "Ohhaithar, I wuz just checking out yore car! I liek carz!" Another one I just remembered, you know you're a Celica owner when you have your debit/credit card numbers memorized (including the expiration date and security code) from buying parts online. And when you buy parts on eBay you don't even need because you know they're worth more on 6gc. I once had 3 sets of JDM tails at the same time because I got then for under $130 shipped Lol *carries out shotgun* I stopped and stared at 3 lined up at RIT today. I was just switching over phones, so I didn't snap a shot, but there was one red facelift, one black 94-95 and one silver facelift that was dumped. I went back to try to take a pic and they were gone. I drove 20 miles just to take a picture of a group of Celica's... that's when you know you own a Celica lol. -------------------- 1994 Toyota Celica GT-S 5S-FE 190k Miles. I know I own a 6gc when I contemplate asking a complete stranger for a ride in theirs since mine's been in the shop for 4 months with my swap stalled out. It's almost done now though!!!

You know you own a 6gc when everyone else don't own one, and you don't have a partner or others to share the same interest.
You know you own a 6gc when no one cares you own one You know you own a 6gc when you keep trying to explain to others what makes it cool compared to others, like the JDM parts, how its unique, etc. its like you have to keep pitching to show why its awesome. You know you own a 6gc because you are the only one that notices or even cares about other 6gcs you spot in your area. You know you own a 6gc when you compare the performance mods are to an MR2 and its body lines to a Supra You still keep a flashlight in your car For some reason you hate hondas with a passion even though you know they are pretty alright cars, but you are not biased to other manufacturers so much just mostly Honda, the arch rivals. you have to explain that the integras copied the celicas four headlights you hate it when they mistaken your car as a tiburon This post has been edited by trdproven: Jul 10, 2012 - 12:23 AM -------------------- 94 Celica GT

Another one I forgot... -When you get in another car and stab the dash with the key because you can't find the ignition HA! just did that one today! Don't you guys do it by habit? I think I could do it eyes closed now. I've got so used to it that everytime I step in another car I stab the dash where I feel the ignition is in our 6gc instead of looking where the key goes haha. Yeah, I don't have any problems with the Celica. It's other cars that get me. Like my Z... Every time I get in that car, I stab the dash a few times looking for the ignition. Finally, I scold myself and get it right. Then I start stomping the floorboard looking for the clutch, because it's an autotragic. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. Auto Z, why!? Drive a manual Z, pay special attention to the clutch pedal feel and especially the feel of the trans when you change gears. You'll understand why auto Z. -------------------- "Employ your time in improving yourself by other men's writings, so that you shall gain easily what others labored hard for." -Socrates. Every time you push on a clutch, you wish it was more like your Celica's.

That and the gear shifter. My mom's fiance has a 200SX SE-R, and its clutch and shifter feel like mush in comparison.
